I don't know how anyone could possibly think that creative didn't know exactly what was going on or that this wasn't part of a story........oh wait. This is the internet.
The thing about a guy like Punk who's good on the mic is that he can be given the "go nuts....just don't say "sh!t" or anything like that" guideline and make an intriguing promo. He's just that good. Anyway....raw is taped next week. It was shot last night. There's spoilers if you wanna see the story.

Punk was just keeping it real. In a company where that's the last thing you should do. Fantastic promo BTW. He seemed genuinely pissed though.

Oh jesus. I can't believe people still think Punk went into business for himself.
Punk has always been one of the best at selling emotion on the mic. I'm really looking forward to Cena's promo next week. More of that smark bait but not quite full on shoot stuff. Notice in Punk's promo he never mentioned 'doing jobs' or guys being booked stronger. He never exposed the industry but kept an edge of realism and that's why I thought the promo was great. All of that smark bait stuff was ok but it was masterful how he kept kayfabe while blurring the line.

I love that he was wearing a Stone Cold shirt. Last week, when he said he was the best wrestler in the world, it got my mind running about a Vince Mcmahon fued over using the term "wrestler" over "superstar". I remember when he was doing commentary, Michael Cole corrected him on that. It seemed like a good chance for a new, stone-cold like anti-hero to represent the fans who prefer the older, attitude-era wwe. It also seems like a good chance to turn the "Cena sucks" chants into cheers for something. It still looks like CM punk is staying a heel, but I look forward to the fan reaction at MITB.

i watched Aftermath on the SCORE last night and one of the hosts, Arda Ocal, predicts that CM Punk will most likely be back, and he also predicts an Austin/Punk match at Mania 28

WWE creating some sort of 'Pro pro-wrestling' group wouldn't be a play for attitude era fans because they don't like wrestling either.
There's more wrestling now then there was in the Springer era.

That promo was classic. And, yeah, it took me a little bit to realize that Punk was wearing a Stone Cold shirt. A bit of foreshadowing perhaps? I hope he has a good vacation and comes back better than ever. He needs some time off though.

Ya know what's funny?
We forget that Punk and HBK had a great segment at the beginning of RAW. Oh, and Sin Cara and Evan Bourne fought, too.

What Bourne/Cara match did you watch? The one I saw was just ok.
I never understand why fans clamor for high flyer vs. high flyer matches. They're almost always awkward. Mysterio going against Juvi was fine but he didn't have a spectacular match until he was matched up with Jericho and Eddie.

Punk once again reminds people what a breath of fresh air he is.

Well, sometimes the high flyers put on a good show. And I really like Sin Cara. He just keeps amazing me with his moves.
As for Punk, he just rocks with the promos. He'll be missed while he's gone though.

Not yet, and I think the final verdict will be Mysterio vs Cara at Mania.

That match actually has potential to be a barn burner. Rey wrestles a style that could mesh better with Cara's lucha and nothing else style.
I have no idea what you're talking about bubblyshell. I was talking about stylistic matchups.
