Well, good luck to ya, man. Odyssey isn't my cuppa joe (I did like the original fan fiction more on TMNT Empire) but the Image Volume 3 conclusion was a godsend and I'm quite intrigued regarding Origin...

There is, of course, the off chance that Jim wouldn't even be down for such a thing. And a Volume 4 conclusion without him certainly sounds even less appealing.

Jim would be the icing on the cake yet I do not see him as mandatory.
Your Volume 3 ending was mostly done without Frank Fosco and yet the work you did with Arseniy stands out as a great TMNT contribution. |

So I imagine you're going to use rich for your shipping service when its time for this to be mailed out? He did a fantastic and generous job with Odyssey, so if he's still willing, it would be ideal to partner with him again.

The ever great Mark "DrSpengler" Pellegrini is filling Steve Murphy's shoes for the Professor Obligado finisher that will be included in (and be very, very relevant to) "Origin." Just looked at his synopsis and it's pretty amazing how it all comes full circle.
We'll be going at full steam shortly. After the first batch of pages from Jim come in and are colored we'll see about a trailer... and take the appropriate fund-raising avenue to get it finished and out there.

Siiiick! Speng's writing on the blog has always been good & he really knows his Mirage, so I trust his contributions will be awesome.

That's awesome! Great that you've gotten through that snafu and can finally get the ball rolling.

The Obligado serial is one of my favorite pieces of Murphy TMNT work, so I'll do my best to fill his shoes. While I can't claim that the ending is even remotely what Murphy intended when he left off, I can say that the pieces are coming together rather intuitively. If I can make the script feel tonally cohesive with Murphy's previous installments (which I'm rererereading until I throw up), then I'll be satisfied.
And the thought of having Lawson draw something I wrote is a thrill beyond measure. So all my thanks to Andrew for the opportunity! |

Question for everyone...
Should Jhanna be blue-skinned as she appeared in the 4Kids cartoon or retain her human skin tones from the original Michael Dooney painted cover from TMNT Vol. 1, #13? Maybe just a blue tinge to her skintone as a compromise?

Agreed, no reason to take cues from 4kids. Mirage all the way.

Fine by me.
Should be some other fun stuff to announce before too long. Definitely all gearing up, getting the first batch of pages from Lawson here in about a week. Get ready for "The Dirty Dozen" in space. With "God."
