Japanese spelling of TMNT?

Kind of a weird question but I'm not sure if I should trust google on this one.

I want to make a TMNT logo, but I want it to be written in japanese. Thing is, I have no clue of how to spell it. My idea was to use the whole sentence and not the acronym (you know 'teenage mutant ninja turtles'), but maybe I should just look up the different kanji for each of the initials and write it that way... though I'm pretty sure japanese doesn't work like that

I also looked up the different TMNT mangas but I really have no idea of how to replicate what's written in there.

Any help will be appreciated!

Disclaimer: My knowledge of the Japanese language is pretty limited - I can only read katakana and hiragana (next to no kanji), and even then it's more pronouncing than actually reading and understanding what is being said.

That being said, I think it's enough to help you out. You are correct - there is no Japanese equivalent to just "TMNT". Most of their characters are sounds - like "ka", "ki", "ku", "ke", and "ko" - not individual letters. Using anime as an example, Hagane no Renkinjutsushi (鋼の錬金術師) would be shortened to HagaRen (鋼錬) rather than HnR.

Looking at various Japanese logos, it seems the most popular title is simply "Mutant Turtles" (ミュータント タートルズ), although it appears that the second and third movies used "Mutant Ninja Turtles" (ミュータント ニンジャ タートルズ). (I mostly used this blog post for reference, by the way: http://tmntentity.blogspot.com/2010/...-in-japan.html) I did try plugging the full "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" into Google Translate, and it is actually accurate (ティーンエイジ ミュータント ニンジャ タートルズ). If you were Japanese and actually pronouncing that, it would sound just like "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", or as close as they can get, anyway. I could go more in depth as to what each character means/sounds like if that would help, but that's how it would be written.

The short answer to your question is: ミュータント・タートルズ

The only difference from what Gwydion wrote is the little dot that goes between the two words.

Just to note, the "little dot" is like a space, it is not an actual character, hence why I left it out.

Thank you for your answers!

Just as a disclaimer though, I did use google translate and image search, but I had no way of knowing if what I was getting was correct. Also, I don't trust myself enough to copy what's written in those images; I just know that if I write it myself, somehow it'll end up saying 'go to hell' or something like that

I didn't know that there were any others living in Japan on the board. I also didn't know that there were any native Japanese speakers here either. Cool.
