Is it confirmed to air in September because toys coming out in October would make me think the show begins Oct/Nov.

I think your early Leo figure will have more paint than the real ones

For a 'younger & lighter feel' , they coulda just made a series about the boys in training, Master Splinter having his paws full to keep them off the surface......

Hence the name "Rise", we're supposedly seeing them before they're full formed ninjas. A series of nothing more than training would be boring, though. So I imagine we'll see battles where they at first are out-performed.

This series isnít lacking ambition and the courage to take risks and be different. That idea would work better for a mini series like Mayham on Mutant Island or Summer Shorts.

Yeh I think they said Autumn but people just assumed September? I asked for confirmation before and wasn't provided with it.

Then again just my luck it's gonna be like when I asked for confirmation of the last show's ending in season 5 and everyone just said it was just a rumor... until like 4 months later and then when I was like "oh look, finally confirmation" it was like "lol you're an idiot they confirmed it months ago. It's your fault for not knowing."

Most shows generally start in the Fall in September rather than the summer. Maybe it'll have the first episode aired as a preview in the summer who knows

I know that this is a random question, but ...

How tall is Rise!Donatello's head/ skull supposed to be?

Like, it could be about a foot long, but I want to know it's actual height.

Just saw Kevin Eastman's panel at Fantasia Comic Con. He talked a bit about "Rise", not much, but he did say that it is different than what we've seen before, and give it a chance. The most interesting thing he said is that he compared it to "Big Trouble in Little China" in terms of comedy, action, and underground mystical cities.

Considering this is the guy who compared the first PD film's fight scenes to 'The Raid', I'm not sure whether to take his words literally.

Well, from what we know of the series already, it's easy to see what he means. Assuming you've watched the movie, the comparison is fair, if only in concept.

11 minute episodes officially confirmed.

Update (5/13): Nickelodeon has announced in the Nickelodeon Supplement of the summer 2018 edition of Licensing Source Book Europe that each episode of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will feature two 11-minute carts, telling self-contained, stand-alone stories to allow new viewers to join more easily - with hints of a larger plot.

Additionally, the Nickelodeon Supplement also announced that Nicktoons UK & UK FTA channel Channel 5 will debut Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in September 2018! COWABUNGA!!

So 2 at a time confirmed. I did wonder if they might be more stand alone with the eps being short.

Going to assume said "hints" are along the lines of FW Shredder always wanting to take over the world, or, in more recent cartoons, Plankton on Spongebob always plotting to steal the secret formula... So, mostly background noise and never really means much in the long run.

2-in-1 11 minute bits sounds great to me, I've always loved that format.

But now I wonder if when they said 26 eps in Season 1, they meant two 11 minute episodes, rather than 26 full half hours. That means technically we only get 13 airings, since two 11 minute eps would add up to one 22 minute usual episode.

Then that technically means Season 1 is cut in half, but I guess we should wait for confirmation.

How does this format usually count? so where there are 2 showed together, does it count as 1? then you'd get double, or as you said, less airing and they count separately.

Probably, I'm guessing, the whole half hour block counts as one episode. If you look around at episode lists it seems to be the format for other properties of theirs where the info states how many episodes in a season and the number of individual segments. The Sponge as listed on Wikipedia is a good example.

We're likely getting 26 half hour blocks. (Obviously it's not a full 30 min due to the commercial break between.)

If it's 26 episode orders, then with two 11 minute eps in each full airing, then technically we would get 52 episodes in Season 1.

Like it's confusing.

I guess it's like Sonic Boom, at least in terms of episodic scheduling.
