Promo for the Flash/Arrow Legends of Tomorrow crossover/backdoor pilot that'll be airing in 2 weeks. Loving the wings on Hawkgirl. Definatly an improvement from Smallville

At this point I shouldn't be surprised, but the special effects they use are just so darn awesome and continue to impress me. Seriously, I commend the VFX artists on a job well done. Looking forward to seeing the Hawks in action.

Well, so much for that.
http://www.cinemablend.com/televisio...on-102157.html

I kinda had a feeling that was bound to happen. Ah well. "Better to burn out..." etc. etc. At least if they know for a fact there's only going to be one season, they can make it all-killer/no-filler and actually have a resolution at the end, rather than have the rug pulled out from under them and be left hanging on a cliffhanger.

Well, if true, I don't mind. I always assumed LoT was a one-season mini-series and if I remember correctly, that's even how CW was originally promoting it. So, to successfully wrap it up, do the following:
  • Permanently Kill White Canary (she's died and come back one time too many already)
  • Send Firestorm (both halves) back to Flash
  • Permanently defeat Vandal Savage
  • Send The Atom back to Arrow so he can take back his company
  • Send Captain Cold and Heatwave back to Flash

Not sure what to do with the Hawk duo, though...

So long as the show has a conclusive beginning, middle, and end, that should be good enough, even for just one season.

It just doesn't bode well for too many future "Big-Scale" super-hero shows. Which doesn't surprise me. Frankly, I'm amazed with what they can get away with on The Flash. I'm not shocked that this other project is stunningly cost-prohibitive.

Call it a hunch, but even disregarding the movies being in the way, I'm guessing we're still at least 20 years away from a live-action JLA show.

Yeah, knowing that the cost is super-problematic for Legends, I'm now wishing the show had never gotten off the ground and they'd recycled that budget into Flash for a couple of good Grodd-centric Gorilla City episodes... and King Shark, gimme more King Shark.

I will never bemoan any set of circumstances that made "Live-Action Rip Hunter" a thing.

Eh. At this point, I'm just ready for the damn premiere. Not much new material. Still good though.

My wife literally said, two seconds ago, "You showed me that the other day." A good bit of it looked new to me, but whatever. I guess I'm too busy being awestruck that we're even able to get this kind of super-hero show on TV these days. We've come a long way from the "Does he really have to fly? That's gonna cost so much money!" days of pre-production on "Lois & Clark" back in the day. Getting one scene of heat vision into the script was a nightmare. Now you got Firestorm and sh*t. It's unreal.

It's like, I already know this show is gonna be great, but in truth, it could be f*cking terrible and I'd still appreciate the effort. Just because I grew up when super-hero TV shows were simply low-budget, bargain-basement kiddie theater, and I'm amazed with what they can pull off now.

Like, compare the rejected JLA pilot from the mid-90s to this sh*t here. It feels like 100 years ago. And that was terrible, but that was seriously, almost the best they could have done back then, which makes it almost as tragic as it is just plain sh*tty. We've come so far so fast.

So we know he's time-travelled back to the early '90s!

But seriously, I'm pretty excited for this. The promo stuff looks great, and Arthur Darvill in a time machine is a winning combo for me. I'll always wish Brandon Routh got another shot at Superman, but I do like him as Ray Palmer, and it's nice to see him actually being the Atom instead of Flying Super-Suit Hero #12853.

Matt Nable who played Ra's Al Ghul in Arrow is going to be Ra's on Legends of tommorow

Matt Nable will be reprising his role as Ra's Al Ghul for the Arrow/Flash spin-off, DC's Legends of Tomorrow. It's unclear whether Nable will have survived his season 3 finale battle with the Arrow or if Nable's appearance will be through Legends of Tomorrow's time-travel adventures. Current Arrow baddie, Damien Darhk is also confirmed to appear on Legends of Tomorrow so perhaps we'll be traveling back in time to a period when Darhk was still a member of the League of Assassins?

Ra's implied in season 3 of Arrow that he's at least a few centuries old thanks to the regenerative powers of the Lazarus Pit. However, Malcolm Merlyn, the new Ra's, stated during this season's crossover episode that the League of Assassin's has no intel on Vandal Savage which would indicate that Savage and the League have never crossed paths during their long lifespans. Without knowing what Savage's agenda will be in Legends of Tomorrow it's hard to predict how the interaction between Ra's and Savage will come about.

Malcolm was lying about not knowing about Vandal. He knew danged well about him. Why else at the end would Malcolm refer to him as his friend as he was picking up his ashes?
