Both Fox and Marvel have rights to the Skrulls, however, Fox owns the rights to Super Skrull, who was an antagonist of the Fantastic Four.

But when have the Skrulls had anything to do with the X-Men? They're more of a Fantastic Four/kinda sorta Avengers enemy.

The chick who plays storm says Dark Phoenix will be "faithful to the comics"

I call BS on this you can't have Faithful to the Comics and Simon Kinberg directing in the same vicinity

Didn't it happen in one of the past movies?
And wasn't it pretty much hated by everyone?

Yeah, It was Cyclops who Jean killed in X-Men: The Last Stand, lots of people hated that, but the reality was, the actor who played Cyclops, at the time was filming his role in Superman Returns, so I guess they had to figured out a way to write him off that movie.

As for who they might kill in this one, I would believe it has to be Mystique, we heard stories about how Jennifer Lawrence hated putting on that makeup for the character, which is why she spends most of the time in human form in the recent movies.

I see the potential of Magneto losing his **** if Mystique ends up getting killed, since those two were pretty were always shipped together in these movies.

I was asking a rhetorical question.

As for who they will...? I don't care. Never was fun of X-Men movies and they timeline is a big cluster**** of cluster****ery proportions. That's pretty much the only thing X-Men movies and comic books have in common.

Bryan Singer and his production company are no longer tied with FOX.

If Dark Phoenix gets the same ire as Apocalypse (and there's really no reason to think it wouldn't, or worse probably) Kinberg's totally being thrown out with the bathwater.

Which is moot if Disney's deal goes through, anyway. Feige will clean house on the whole clown college.

Another EW article with more photos. I wish they would've given us a look at the costumes in this. Please let them be like the costumes at the very end of Apocalypse.

Jessica Chastain is playing The Skrull Queen.

Spoiler:

Looks like Fox will be the one to show us a Skrull, before Marvel Studio's Captain Marvel does.
