Eastman 1:10 Gatefold 1:20? And you can add Boris the Bear #8 to the kinda/sorta pile-- TMNT appear on this cover and in a few panels: |

What's the TMNT portion consist of in Boris #8? He "killed" them in his first issue, so how are they back?

There's a "Mutant Critters" meeting to discuss their revenge after the events of #1-- it appears two turtles survived that encounter, though one complains of missing eyeballs:

Another Boris the Bear development--
Boris the Bear Instant Color Classics #1 reprints Boris the Bear #1 in color. Much red is used. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And here is a much cleaner scan of the Peter Laird pin-up from Colt #2: The first 3000 issues printed have this pin-up. I really enjoy Laird's ability with drawing mutant animal characters. |

Clean short of the white squares... Do you have a copy without 'em? I can photoshop out the scan inconsistencies.

I see I missed editing some along the left edge, but not sure what you mean about "white squares"? The paper quality and general sketchiness of the art on this really is not impressive-- I just didn't feel like spending a long time editing out little sketchy tracings. I'll PM you the raw scan and you do whatever you feel like.
edit: apparently it's difficult to see the squares on an LCD monitor. Last edited by wilddiverse; 12-23-2011 at 01:06 AM. |

Forgot to mention in this thread, over at IDW they said there hasn't been a second or third printing of issue #3. Yet.
Conversely mention of Barnes&Noble versions of the first issues was raised... anyone know anything on that?

While I don't have access to my copy at the moment I believe that, because of the covers being switched, if you were to open it from the side that has the actual front cover art, it would open from the left instead of the right and show the last page of the comic. Maybe someone else can validate that if they have their copy handy. |

That'd be cool if it had been printed like a manga, though!

I actually remember when I bought this from my LCS the week it came out. The guy there said that all the copies that came in were like that. A while later a corrected copy of the comic appeared in my hold slot and the owner wanted to buy back my error copy for double the cover price. Needless to say, I didn't take him up on that.
I still find these error copies in back-issue bins from time to time...it had to be fairly common. |

Were the inside covers flipped too, or not?

I don't know if someone mentioned it in the middle of all the posts but don't forget the Turtles/Savage Dragon stuff was reprinted in several Savage Dragon TPB's and a HC.

Hey guys, this is a nice list.
How accurate and complete is this list? I need something definitive. Thank you |

Granted, I do need to update the latest bits in the IDW section, but the Mirage portion - to my knowledge - is complete, thanks to a multitude of sources and months of researching.
