They're already confirmed to be Foot Soldiers. The Foot Ninja create them.

The less of a traditional TMNT show this brings the better, with the exception of Raph being leader.

I wonder if Leonardo will "twerk it" PD!TMNT style.

That ... would be an interesting homage.

I predict....

that we will start off with very different turtles... and then gradually they will develop and grow into the turtles we know and love.

over the show's seasons, the turtles will start off as rookie ninja, then slowly improve their skills, until they are as skilled with martial arts as other versions.

Over the course of the seasons, Leo will become more mature, and earn his place as leader.

Over the seasons, Mikey's artistic side will bloom, and he'll become almost as creative and expressive as his mirage counterpart.

Over the seasons, we'll be introduced to the foot clan little by little, until we finally meet shredder, and see the nature of the conflict be revealed slowly.

over the seasons., the turtles will earn their traditional weapons, and gradually become comfortable with them.

But we can't have that, the angry TMNT fans want a fully formed ninja team, right out of the gate, with no room for growth or character development ,and we need to rush back to those Shredder vs. TMNT fights as fast as possible. right? The turtles are most exciting when at status quo!

....ugh....

IDW is the best version of TMNT

If they make a TMNT reboot movie retelling the shredder battle/origin, I won't buy a ticket.

I don't buy that one bit. There have been other shows that got high levels of hate right out of the gate, and when people actually SAW them, they liked the shows. We don't' know how this show will be received when it hits Nick in the fall, and I'm sorry, but online reactions, hate on social media, and you tube down votes does not already condemn, a show that hasn't even come out yet to the recycle bin. We'll just have to wait and see when it hits the airwaves.

I'm sure the kids will love seeing one of the turtles get their shell smashed in with a sledgehammer. Or were you talking about the armies getting poisoned?

That is, I assume, the one where Donnie is murdered? Yeahhhh... I have my doubts.

If there was even a hint of a reference to it I'm guessing he'd not be harmed at all and instead be grateful that he'd invented some kind of super strong battle shell armor he's using.

It would be cool to get an episode where Donatello is sent into action without his mechanical shell and he learns not to be so reliant on his gadgets.

I would like to elaborate on this.

What if the Turtles were forced to dance for an entire episode?

That would be ... somewhat amusing.

I think it’s important to realize that there’s a difference between fans who hate change and fans who hate tasteless changes. You wouldn’t criticize someone for not wanting to put ketchup on their ice cream, right? Just because change is good?

I found this quote.

Cena: It is a new character — the universe is kind of being redesigned and I think the audience is going to love it. It will be a new version of the main villain of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

TheWrap: How involved were you in his evolution?
Cena: I was shown artwork very early on (which was awesome), then began to talk details with the writing team and came up with little nuances to help get the best look that we could for the Baron. I am really happy with the end product.

TheWrap: Draxum is described as an “alchemist warrior mutant who seeks to turn all of humanity into mutants” — can give us any other teasers to explain that?
Cena: He is certainly a mutant and all of the villains have a shred of truth to them. He believes what he is doing is for the sake of good, but ends up doing bad as his views are skewed a little bit. I love the fact that he is overly logical and the Turtles are very whimsical, so the interactions with him and them is really funny.

So the Turtles' and him will have a very interesting dynamic.

Except I am not seeing any tasteless Changes. The tmnt being different types of turtles is not tasteless. Raph declaring himself leader and ordering the others around before Leo earns his place is not Tastless, and starting them off with different training weapons isn't tasteless. Leo was a cocky, wannabe cool hit before he was the stick in the mud leader?Mikey was am artist? Great, let's develop those ideas!

Of course it will be a new version of me! Like in 2003 i was a utrom a demon abd a robot but in 2012 i was human then mutant then zombie! I will be human at first but later i will mutate into Utrom after touching Krang and then drink some mutagen! That how i will become Utrom Shredder again.
What i will do to Baxter Stockman?
I will do what i did to him in the previous series. Only this time i will do it this way: First i will mutate him into fly. Then demutate him into hunan. Then cut his eye, his hand legs and head and finaly put his brain in a jar!!!! That what i must do to him to make his suffering as painful as possible!!!!!

So, I've just watched the teaser (yet again), and I've just noticed something.

When Donatello was pushing the controller, I was thinking of this theory:

What if Donatello actually built the animatronics that somehow went haywire?

That would explain why he was pressing the button so frantically, up to the point of outright breaking his handheld device. (The controller wasn't working anyway, so it served no purpose.)

But why would he need to (supposedly) build them? Was it to help April somehow?
