My 80's/90's TMNT Collection
Hey guys
This is my collection. Most of it is from my childhood, but have been completing missing items, lost items and adding some new stuff as I go. I have a complete sewer coming in the mail as I lost my childhood one, and have parts coming to complete my drill module, Ace Duck and Genghis Frog Next im focusing on the technodrome as I need about 12 parts for it, then I'll decide what to complete next after that. Nice. Love the little Christmas basket. What are those turtles in vehicles that seem sorta like fast food toys? Very cute, don't have those myself.

@powder
Back in the day, Mobil petrol stations in Australia used to have them. In fact they have the Mobil logo on the hood of each of them too. Cant remember what the offer was though as I was very young (uncle grabbed them for me), maybe you could buy one if you fill up fuel.. Last edited by leotony; 01-22-2018 at 11:54 PM. |

Cool collection dude!
What’s all in the Christmas basket? Also whats that behind the basket in front of the basketball, or is that part of the basket? |

Hey bud thanks for the kind words. The basket contains body wash and talcum powder, both unused. I still have a used talcum powder bottle from when I was like 5-6 years old to this very day Behind the basket are some badges with pins on them. I have all 4 of them. I really need to make a better way of displaying everything I just added a 99% complete sewer and a complete drill to my collection as well which I have to put on display. |

Yeah likely the case in the USA
In Australia, all those badges are marked on the rear as Pizza Hut. I dont think we got Burger King (as a food chain that is) here till the mid 90s. Last edited by leotony; 02-22-2018 at 04:48 PM. |

Ok just an update
Made an order for all my missing Technodrome parts through myteefinestuff, along with a few other odds and ends. I'll put up some pictures once the parts arrive in a couple of weeks. The only part left for me to get is the purple firing platform. I will also need to setup and display my sewer playset and complete drill as well and take some pics soon |

Your collection's fun to check out. So many people collect the same things, be it modern adult-aimed collectibles, boxed Nick figures, or various Playmates toys from back in the day. It's becoming rare to see someone with a bunch of obscure vintage stuff that otherwise isn't seen/mentioned much. Badges, keychains, drinking cups, etc. You don't see a lot of those kinda items anymore. They're not for the most part all too valuable, but they have a unique charm to them & invoke a great sense of nostalgia for me personally. The fun of that stuff back in the 90's was that many if not most pieces featured art that was exclusive to the product. From the mid-2000's onward you mostly just see the same few pieces of stock art reproduced across tens or even hundreds of items.
I used to have that Christmas tin, never before seen it in anyone else's collection! Mine was really dinged up so I got rid of it about a decade ago. Do you happen to know what it was initially used for? Did it house cookies? I kept art supplies in mine after the fact, I think.

I haven't seen those collectible coins in a long time. It's cool to see a full set - I think I only had a couple.
