Halloween and All Saints' Day 2018
Do you celebrate any of these holidays this time of year?

Yeah, celebrate Halloween for the children, we have some decorations/pumkins/costumes etc. I don't go all out for it though.

Yup, Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. Not that celebrating consists of a whole lot these days, but I've still got some decorations up and will get my pumpkin carved this afternoon.
Maybe someday I can get back to decorating the front yard the way I used to. |

Yes! My girlfriend and I did a "Scream" couple's costume this past weekend.

Nice.
The one time of year I wish I was comfortable using contacts. Envy people who can use masks. Just a Leo costume shirt for me today; the nicely detailed one from the last film. I did throw on a black belt and black tabi socks I have (with the sandals I've worn much of the year), so I definitely went all out. lol |

Got a jack o lantern pumpkin on the "patio" and got some candy ready for trick or treaters. But no costumes, I was working all weekend so I missed out on the Halloween party (again). I was going to be a witch or Elvira.
I might have missed the kids going door-to-door as I had someone over fixing my shower. |

I went to a small party as Shredder, I'm a cross between a witch and the grim reaper this eve, depends how I wear the hood on my cloak.

8pm, not a single trick or treater, and our end of the neighborhood is just dark. No doubt the other end looks the same. At this rate I wouldn't care if a couple 20-years-olds came to our door.
Halloween used to be decent around here years ago. A couple newer neighbors had lights on last year, I thought maybe there was a little hope again, but even they didn't bother this year. |

Most of the trick-or-treaters I saw were at my boyfriend's neighborhood.
Probably made one family's night when I recognized their daughter was dressed as Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service... Which ironically I've never actually watched. The only thing remotely appropriate for Halloween was watch a TV show with UtromPrincess. Spoiler:
But, I'm more looking forward to tomorrow when I can double feature Coco and The Book of Life. I sort of like how Dia Los Muertos is becoming more "mainstream", especially since the premise of it is more definable than Halloween. A matter of "honoring deceased loved ones" or "spooky day for candy" While I'm at the topic though...check out how all-in my family went when my brothers and I were tiny...in 1999 according to the timestamp. Wow. Matching home-made costumes... And me needing some front teeth for Christmas

I'm still a big kid at heart. I still enjoy Halloween.
As for All Saints Day, that day doesn't mean much to me, but, I don't have any issues if anyone celebrates the day. |
