The Happytime Murders

Check out the Red Band Trailer for The Happytime Murders. Imagine Who Frame Roger Rabbit but with Muppets. And its R rated so there's a lot of adult humor in this. And its not for kids. Its directed by Brian Henson. Who is the son of Jim Henson. He directed the last two Muppet movies. So its interesting to see him doing this type of movie. But for adults.

Extremely disappointed. I was so excited for this movie to finally go into production, but they turned it from a twist on noir type movies into a Sausage Party knockoff.

McCarthy's character seems like a decent foil for the blue guy.

It's nice to see an fairly original idea for once.

Holy crap did this movie flop hard.

It's a damn shame to see how this film turned into what promised a Who Framed Roger Rabbit with puppets crime noir into raunchy, easy slapstick. Especially disheartening since Brian Henson was involved with this thing from the very beginning.

The film has only grossed $12 million dollars domestically on a roughly $40 million dollar budget ... and this wasn't bad enough, apparently McCarthy was paid about $10 - $17.5 million dollars for her role in the film.

Ironically, I might have seen this had Melissa McCarthy not been a part of it.

I would have seen it if it wasn't for McCarthy being in it.
