Sounds like the whole story takes place just a bit after the Utroms left Earth in Mirage Vol. 1. There's several nods to Mirage stuff here.

I mean, yeah. This is like the perfect Stranger Things/TMNT crossover there could be if there... should ever be such a thing. An attention to detail with the Mirage TMNT and it feels authentic to them, and a blending of lore with Stranger Things.
