Really hope that nasty weather pattern that has beat some states up so bad, and decided to drag us here into it as well this week, is ending.
My little zip code was coincidentally hit with damaging micro bursts two days in a row. (Plus what at least sounded like a tornado in the area, but who knows...) That's enough for a while. As is some others elsewhere just waving it off because all they saw was a normal thunderstorm and didn't see what we did. Cutest little all black oranda in eBay... Got relisted after not selling and I'm glad to see someone now bid on him/her. Had it been local, I'd have had a hard time not bringing it home, though I'm not really in the position to deal with a fish tank again yet at this point in time anyhow. Really wouldn't mind having another oranda someday though, if I can find another color choice so it doesn't feel like my red cap is replaced. They're such awesome water puppies, I mean, fish. Yeah, sometimes I miss our old kissing gourami. She was such a cool fish, and far bigger than most ever get. She was actually almost as big as the wild ones get in Thailand. And she would "kiss" our fingers if we dipped them in the water, or she would come up to "greet" us when we approached.

Reddit? Not surprised... People do exist elsewhere in life and online when they aren't on this forum.
Curious though that you're so interested in a member that has supposedly been gone since well before your account was made. |

when a topic about a gay cartoon rat turns out to be one of the weirder threads on here.

News lady about to talk about the local and regional weather this morning first shows a live shot of "Boathouse Row" in Philly. (Very pretty...street? Or whatever it is on the water.)
**Hears BOTOX ROW and is confused for a minute** Looked up that Duluth Trading brand's website, thinking the Sol Survivor shirt in the commercial is cute and just curious how much they are. Figured with a brand like that it might be thirty or fourth dollars... Hah. Right. More like $74.50. So that's a big NOPE. My guess will probably be the clearance price someday. lol Last edited by IndigoErth; 06-06-2019 at 12:27 PM. |

Well...I just cried a little bit at an episode of Cheers...that's an interesting bullet point in my life.
I've never related to a TV character harder Diane's grieving over her cat dying suddenly and not being there for her, having gone through that a few times this year. And in the first case, wildly struggling with the emotions of it at my workplace, and hitting breaking points at the most unrelated stresses.

I can relate. Had the same thing hapoen when I lost Demona last year. I was just very lucky we had just rescued Cinnamon a couple weeks earlier, so she really helped me get through that.
On a semi-related note, just got back the news on Rhi's bloodwork. Her moms had informed us she was going to see a specialist about some very high numbers on her blood platelet count, and that it could be blood disease or cancer-related. Turns out she was just anemic from low iron. Much relief. My personal suspicion is that she is reaching an age where this could become a *cough* "recurring" issue, every 21 days or so.... It has been for me, anyway. Looks like the apple really fell closer to the tree than we even knew.

Always fun when a nice big nosy wasp decides to sneak in and buzz on over to say hi. *screams*
Not sure if a Great Black Wasp or a really dark paper wasp (that basically looks like the great black with a dark brown coloring instead), but this girl (presumably) was huge. Luckily it appears she finally figured out the open window and I can stop freaking out. I hope. |

-they were shoplifting -cops thought they were looking for a gun in the glove compartment , the man also had a warrant This seems like a scam just to get 10 mill bucks |

Yeahhhh... while I can agree that the cop's language is kind of unnecessarily over the top and unprofessional, being on the job and all, refusing to stop and driving off like that... Buddy, you helped escalate that situation a whole lot all on you own. Watch Live PD. Those guys (and girls) do not take it lightly when someone tries to evade them and automatically looks like someone has something to hide and gives the cops understandably high cause for concern. Now, did Mr. Cop need to go all beast mode... probably not. But the moment the driver (and/or all adult occupants) decide it was better to refuse to just talk to the cops and drive off... yup, not exactly innocent of that situation either. Can't expect to be handled with kid gloves after pulling that stunt. Only smart one there was the woman who chose to get out of the car and accept being taken into custody for her warrant and not get tangled up in the rest of that mess. 6/17 -- Another buzzing visitor decided to surprise me again... this is getting old. lol I think this one was an Oriental Beetle, the jagged striping in images online seems to match, I think. Invasive or not, it's a cute little thing. Sorry neighbors for what it munches on, I set it free outside. 6/19 -- (These bugs lately...) Sitting at a light, a tiny baby praying mantis goes walking up my windshield. I'm sitting there telling it not to go up on the roof of my Jeep, as it will probably regret doing that once the light changes. And, of course it goes right on up. Felt bad for it, and could I have gotten the little thing inside and just released it at home I would have... Was close to my neighborhood though so it wasn't highway speed or anything, but a tiny critter on the roof of a car doing around 35 mph... good luck. Checked for it when I got out of the car, figuring it probably blew off, and it's just sitting up there like "Oh, hey." Maybe the texture of my roof, being a soft top and all, helped it hold on, but that must have been a wild ride. Though maybe easier than me with an armful of stuff and trying to get it to allow me to release it into the flowerbed. 6/25 -- Welcome to Indigo's blog of random crap because no one else is adding random crap. So here's more random crap. Crap that I laughed too hard at. Spoiler:

I'm outside by our front step and some random guy in a truck stops and asks (yells from his window) if the Jeep is for sale...
Me: [a little confused] The Wrangler? Truck guy: Yeah. Me: Nooo... that's mine, you can't have that. Truck guy: Did you hear that? (Or so I believe I overheard, so I don't know if someone was with him or if he was on the phone with someone else who may have been the interested person...) What the hell. This isn't the first time, as I once found a note on it maybe a couple years ago saying if I ever wanted sell then here's a phone number... (Perhaps the same people?) Do other owners get this?? It's just a regular 2001, nothing fancy going on with it. But people seem to like my Jeep. And no way are they getting it! Maybe it's the fact that it's older and you can't get them like that anymore since they gave Wranglers a makeover. Also just want to note, if we have any members in CA or the general region that felt those earthquakes (and all its aftershocks) I hope you guys are all okay. A friend, who lives in Pasadena, and I were up playing a game last night when her area was rocked by it. At least I got to know in real time that she was fine, esp as it didn't otherwise disrupt our fun. o.O Even if she says it gave her a little motion sickness. When you hear something hitting the window at 9:30 at night, presumably just a (large?) bug, but the idea of looking to see what it is is too scary. lol
Lord knows even at my age it might still have a .00001% chance of being a monster. |

Monsters don't discriminate. They'll eat you regardless of age. Sometimes, the elderly are more attractive victims because of their feeble defenses. Ever see Bubba Ho Tep?
