While I continue to weed my collection of things that are less important to me. I did make one pretty large purchase recently that I'm really, really excited about. Now I just need a MISB Drome, MISB Sewer Playset, and the 2 pizza hut displays that I'm missing, and I'll be 110% satisfied.

I have another surprise! Just found this last night and picked it up. So frustrated though, trying to sell stuff and get the cash, but then this gem is on ebay. ARG
Anyway, I'm excited to have 1 of 80. This one unpainted. I hope the other sides of the box are in nice shape too. Here's a pic of my loose dashboard...it, like many others is incomplete. |

That bust is kind of rare. It says there were 500 in the production run, but only 80 were ever made. The people that were supposed to deal with the production at Mirage and the Geometrix company dropped the ball on it in ENTIRETY. I was so very disappointed with the production. It was supposed to be bronze filled resin, a very nice look. Geometrics at first said they could do the job, but after they began production, they begged to just make white resin busts and the production team at Mirage just went on ahead and said 'okay then'. Then Geometrix begged off even completing the run and stopped at 80 busts. I was livid. We'd already solicited the bronze filled busts, so since they were not what they were supposed to be, we had to take returns. They found a kid that was into plastic model kits to paint the busts based on a paint job I showed him. He did an okay job at it, but Mirage stopped the painting process at around 30 or so. That was the only sculpting I've ever done. The whole experience was awful. I feel as if it were done properly, I could have made a few more dollars on it. If only because there would be more of them. So, I have the one I painted and one unpainted one that I'm saving. You may find one for sale online somewhere. I haven't checked that. I appreciate that you like it. It makes it a bit better for me. -Craig |
