Just don't like the show's format and get annoyed by the characters at times. Hopefully it gets better. Just not into it yet.

I couldn't get into Shield the first season Pilot bored me to tears. Marvel should just do the Netflix shows and concentrate on the movies.

Interesting... Wonder if they'll rework the character or if there'll be some crossing over/referencing with the Netflix Daredevil series? It's very cool that the show's setting up the Inhumans, but that movie's a long ways off and there's only so much setup they can do before it feels dragged out beyond all reason. And if the Sony deal gives them access to use some Spider-Man villains/concepts/etc, that could open a lot of doors too. There's a ton to play with on this show if they're able.

It got a lot better. If you ever want to give it another try, skip ahead to episode 16 and watch 'til the end of season one - it's a fun ride that ties heavily into Captain America: The Winter Soldier and gives the show a ton of forward momentum and urgency.

Definitely!

I binge-watched episodes 17-22 (and I hate binge-watching television) and it was a blast. It felt like a movie. There's an amazing difference in quality between the first half of the season and the second.

I like this show. I don't love it like I love Agent Carter, or even Arrow, The Flash or Gotham, but I think it's pretty good. Particularly after Hydra revealed themselves.

I haven't seen Drea De Mateo since The Sopranos either, and I've seen every episode of Desperate Housewives and don't remember her. Although that was a long time ago.

Yeah, I like it a lot. It gets beat up on a lot online, and I really don't get why. People have weird expectations about it. But I think it's doing what it's meant to and doing it well. Compared to, like, most other shows on the air, it's quite good and is only getting better.

Right now, I am of the theory that Barton is running the "real" S.H.I.E.L.D. and has Bobbi and Mac doing some recon on Coulson's team. If Barton thinks Fury is dead, he wouldn't know Fury appointed Coulson to lead this team.
