I think a vague mention some months ago was till issue 120, although who knows if that's still true.

I imagine Tom Waltz will return to writing the main series eventually at some point.

I had figured when Tom was done with Ronin that he would go back to the main book but there was an interview saying that they had ideas for spin offs, sequals etc so I am thinking he could stay in that sandbox mostly.

I'm hoping the next writer can salvage post 100 IDW TMNT

So, Oroku Saki must be a pretty $hit friend. He hasn't done a damn thing to help ANYONE, whether it's the Turtles or Karai or his former Assassin turned mutant or his loyal henchmutants.

What the fuck.

Is he catching up on all the fun stuff he missed out on while dead? Just rolling in the sheets with Kitsune, drinking scotch, eating those great soft pretzels you get at the mall, and playing Mario Kart?

What's the fucking point of Saki coming back to life if the writers aren't going to do anything with him?

Just imagine on the other side of the fence in mutant town, Saki has reconciled with Casey Jones and he's training him to be a fully fledged Ninja and at the same time Casey is teaching him modern life lessons like how to use a cellphone and play hockey or ride a motorcycle. Maybe last summer Papa O'Neil took Woody and them on a road trip across the country and they all discovered what it means to be a father and a son. Maybe Casey spread Arnold's ashes into the pacific ocean and they all had pizza for breakfast.

I'd like to think that. Even if for a moment.

I'm hoping for the redemption of Saki. That's a tale that's never been done. Follow his path of redemption. While I doubt it would be Bruce Wayne esq, and it shouldn't be for that matter, I could see him as a tough as nails hero figure. Like Bruce. Or Frank Castle. Or Jason Todd. Or Kuai Liang. Kuai Liang is actually a pretty good example.

I'm not familiar with Kuai Liang, but I could see Jason Todd for sure. Splinter was Frank Castle and it didn't go well. Maybe Negan? Or Vegeta, though that would be too tame? Negan sounds good, as Saki is also the former leader of the Foot.
