So who else have played the two Digital Devil Saga games?

Hopefully one day we will get an HD remaster of both games together as one release on PS4, PS5, Switch, PC, etc.

A 3rd game would be nice as long as it has the same basic combat/skill system of the first two.

Technically yes, but I think that particular sub-series has a thread of it's own.

If we ever got 3rd game there are few mechanical add ons/changes that I would like...

-That when you maxed out a mantra, extra AP in battle is not lost but stored until you get a new mantra.
-That each character gets a unique skill known(doesn't count against your skill slots), this skill is an elemental skill based on the characters element.
-That these unique skills improve as you level and are ether Strength or Magic based on wich the character is focused on.
-Keep the earth element and add water as an element.
-That you get 4 player characters in battle.
-That there are at least 8 player characters in the game and you get them all before your 25% through the game.
-Less grind heavy for maxing out all your mantras then the first two games but not too easy.
-Can see the enemies on the field like SMT5.
-You get too choose the main characters elemental affinity(resistances/weaknesses) at the start of the game and maybe during the game but at a cost.
-Add a system similar to glory/miracles but have it be "demon augmentations".
-Karma stones(or magatama)- equip one per character, can add a skill for free like some accessories from Persona 5 Royal.
-Female main character option.

I really hope that HD remasters of these games will be one of things announced for the SMT 30th anniversary.

Well if they don't announce an HD remaster during the SMT 30th anniversary, I doubt we ever will get it.

I wouldn't be surprised you haven't heard of SMT or Digital Devil Saga but I would be surprised if you never heard of Persona. They are all Japanese RPGs from a game series called Megaten.

Persona lets you summon physical manifestations of your psyche that looks like demons and other creatures, SMT you summon actual demons, and DDS you actual become demons.

The fact Atlus actually acknowledged the game's 20th anniversary gives me hope this game will get a HD remaster.
