What is the population of your town/city?

What is the population of the city you live in? Are you fine with the number or do you prefer less or more people?

After a quick internet search I discovered my town has 3,107 residents according to a 2010 census. I'm fine with that number because I don't mind traveling to larger populated areas for shopping and entertainment. I also like how I might not see many people if I go for a walk or drive.

That's a decent size. I went to Portland Oregon a couple weeks ago that's around the same size I think.

I've got you beat. I'm currently living in Tokyo. According to Google, it exceeds 13 million.

As for back home, it's 223,170.

Around 2,337. Thought it would be lower. I picked "Under 1,000" by mistake before checking for certain.

The Dirty Lew (Lewiston, Maine)

Fun times... Not really. The city keeps voting democrat and businesses keep going to more friendly areas.

Yeah, I'm sure THAT'S why people are leaving Maine.

Got about 655K where I'm at, though I'm curious if that number takes students into account.

No idea... Looked it up but it only shows the population for the actual city, not including the wide swath of surrounding suburbs that also share the city name in our address.

Also checked the name of my little "unincorporated community" within it, but no population info on it. (But maybe a little extra credit at least for it having some George Washington history? )

edit: Nearest I can find is my zip code 2015 estimated population of about 38,767. But that crosses borders with a few different areas.

Population density: 2,772 people per square mile.

So, it's not big city kind of numbers, but at least my zip code itself is a little densely packed. Or so it seems to me. (Just shy of 14 square miles in total.)

Funny thing is... my state is largely democrat and yet, it is a very business friendly state as far as taxes and other business stuff goes.

Actually kind of annoys me because many love to incorporate here (a massive tone of them have) because of the taxes, etc, but they don't actually exist here or DO anything here unless they have to go to court. So many cool ones that could have brought nice jobs...

Just under 2 million. The state population is only approx 2.5 mil, which is pretty low considering it's over 2.6 million km²

13mill.

Can you notice a difference between Tokyo and "back home" with the noise level, bumping into people or anything? Or is it the same no matter the population difference.
