The original TMNT 2007 soundtrack
I was listening to the soundtrack of TMNT 2007 and It's pretty good, "Shell Shock" isn't as horrible as I remembered and I love being a turtle is such an amazing theme for the turtles.
I don't remember the circumstances but the original soundtrack that TMNT 2007 was different, I only remember a few things that were mentioned, one that it was considered too dark and also that they promised us the TMNT were finally going to get a theme that was as iconic as Elfman's Batman. |

I don't know exactly what you mean by the "different" original soundtrack; maybe you mean the rejected work by Marco Beltrami? The movie was of course meant to be darker in tone and he started writing stuff to match that, but when it the feel of the film changed he was dismissed and Badelt was hired. I don't know if that was because they wanted to start completely over or if they didn't think he could write the music they were looking for (I'd be surprised if the latter).

Oh yeah, it's great fun. If anyone didn't already know this, you can go to Badelt's site, click the TMNT poster, and listen to the full score.

I remember when Marco Beltrami was announced as the composer. I've always wondered what his score would have been. Beltrami is a decent composer, but his work doesn't scream marches, anthems, and so on, and I think had I gone in expecting the kind of score I was being sold on (Elfman's Batman), I would have been disappointed.
Klaus Badelt's score is one of the film's strongest aspects. |

He finished programming a few tracks and they exist as demos. I've read that they sound a bit like his work for Blade II.
