My god he looks perfect! I am still wondering why we can't pre-order the next turtle yet!

I know this could be a shot in the dark but; what if they made over our heads to wear Turtle heads like the Hero and Stunt heads based on these Henson Turtles.

I honestly hate to be even the least bit critical on these things, but the texture has me a tiiiiiiiiiny bit disappointed. It's just a bit too pronounced. Gorgeous, gorgeous sculpt, though. Love the paint app, love the leather, love the canister, love the price point.

NECA should do some crazy high-end version of these. I'm thinking full silicone casts with a posable metal armature-- no joints. These sculpts deserve it. |

Yup, it's a 50/50 thing when you look at the detail pictures but even though I'm a full "Rapher" I am absolutely glad I did take the chance pre-ordering a Donnie. September, October, until the first figure ships I'm again surely sober haha I'm sure you guys and girls get the picture |

I'm so glad I pre-ordered this months ago. The sculpting and paint are a true love letter to those original costumes. What outstanding figures.

So Donnie will be releasing in October? I just pre-ordered from Entertainment Earth and they have September listed (granted the shipping time may change)
But did I make the wrong choice in pre-ordering with them? I'm really looking forward to this set. |

Just like you I really don't want to crap on it, but like it's 94% there... The texture though is off... too pronounced too obvious... and the hard plastic, though expected, would be so much better as a silicon. I'd pay 300 a piece for that - with glossy eyes and faux leather elbow/kneepads /belts... cloth bandana... |

The texture is accurate to the film though.
It's there just not as visible on TV due to the heavy grain structure of the film stock used as well as the dark lighting/color pallet. Plus all those years tha people only saw the film on sub-par VHS and DVD. They're replicating what the suits actually looked like in person and in high quality images. Also, it won't be nearly as noticeable in person unless you're standing next to them. I'd rather they stick with plastic over something like silicon or other methods to give figures a "Fleshy" feeling. Too many horror stories of drying or rotting.

I share the mild, nitpicky disappointment with the skin texture, although I suspect Splinter's comment above is accurate.
But I bet they'll photograph just swell. |

Except, it's not, not at that size. We talked about this before I think... It's too large/strong/intense/exaggerated.
My brotherfromanothermother will back me up, right D? Also, I think it's great to have a 100$ version, but why not go the distance with an ultimate edition? Don't see the harm. |

Besides I have a couple of Phicens figures. I would rather have the longer lasting plastic at 100 then pay 300 and have the material split, crack, and fall apart after a couple years. I think these figures are the best we could hope for |
