I would like to know if this odyssey book is available for purchase too. I canceled my eBay order. Just doesn't seem right coming from Russia and all. I'll wait for a soft cover if I can even get one.

To be clear, DemonAlukard/Arseniy's hardcovers out of Russia is its own thing. I did sign off on the print version of that and he was kind enough to send me my own copy of it, but the only "official" U.S. version that is seeing print imminently is going to be the softcover version.

So the short answer is yes.

Correct. DemonAlukard/Arseniy has been sending me half the profit minus shipping of every hardcover sold, which goes straight into the pool of the rather high cost of printing I'm facing.

I hate to ask an obvious question, but softcover does mean Trade Paperback and not like a single-issue paper comic, right?

The hardcover has different front and back inside cover art that Arseniy did. Also a couple of pages that talk about TMNT #24 and #25 and Tales #71. And a full page promo for "Origin" with a look at the ship (as drawn by Jim Lawson) that Donatello and his crew take off in to go to the center of the universe.

The softcover doesn't have those things. The front and back inside cover art is the Courtland Brugger pieces and there's no ads for anything.

Yes. It is not possible to print something this big in single-issue paper comic format.

Despite being a contributor (content-wise, I did a little art in this puppy- Thanks, Andrew!) I coughed up a few bucks & snagged a hardcover copy for myself. Worth having.

I hope I'm not speaking out of line in saying this, but the book is hugely packed with content, both in terms of page count & guest appearances, so as you can imagine, despite crowdfunding, the costs to get this out have been pretty crazy. My guess would be another month or two, but it really is just a guess. Trust me when I say it will have been well worth the wait.
