Lost World is alright. I think Generations is better though.

Generations was good but I felt really put off towards the end. It was nice being able to play as Genesis Sonic again but Lost World just feels like the perfect evolution for the series. I was particularly fond of holding the right trigger to run and the pace in which Sonic ran. I also found the level design to be much more creative. I don't know, the game just felt right and controlled with better accuracy than before.

I haven't played Lost World yet either, but using a button to make Sonic run made me feel very sceptical. I'm still not sure I'd be down for it. That isn't how realistic running works at all -- what was wrong with previous games and working up to full speed? Did that just not work for this game?

It hasn't "worked" for 10 years, so they tried something different.

It worked for Colours and Generations. It worked for the first game, even.

My hubby & I finally got around to buying Deadrising 3. My husband has been playing a little while, I just started earlier this evening. I got to say so far, my favorite thing is looking as ridiculous as possible whilst speaking with NPCs, lol. I can't wait to play the Super Ultra Deadrising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX Plus Alpha (I gotta give them major credit for the best DLC title of all time, lol). That really is the only thing that is a big draw to me. This was my hubby's game choice, I just get board with the Deadrising games too easily. Once I make the character do everything ridiculous I can think of, I'm kinda just done... Plus Chuck is a terrible parent- lock your infected daughter in a room and check on her once every 24 hours to dose her with Zombrex... no food, no water. Poor kid! (Obviously I'm referring to Deadrising 2, but that was just one of my real issues with that game- the whole infected daughter thing just held it all back- without adding anything meaningful)
I've been playing Fable Anniversary a lot, but I'm pretty peeved with all the freezing... Almost unplayable at times. But I was bored one night and decided I should see if I could make a townswoman want to marry me while I was wearing only my undies and a chicken head. Sadly, it worked, lol. I get bored and video game characters suffer the consequences... |

How is holding down a dash button any different than holding down a run button and even considered working to full speed like the original game?

I haven't played the game so I'm not entirely sure. I'm just not sure how I feel about using a button to make him run when before you didn't have to do that. It seems like it'd be awkward to control.
Not that it would be the first time Sonic's been hard to control, but damn.

I have to say that Sonic Lost World wasn't that good. The parkour system was annoying as every time you touch a wall, you walk up. I won't spoil anything, but the plot twist was obvious.

I'm currently playing Sims 2 after downloading it for free off Origin. Still need to add Casey Jones and his mom to the neighborhood...

I've been playing it too. One of my houses is nothing but one old guy and a bunch of dogs that I named after TMNT characters. :V

Finally picked up Marvel vs Capcom 3 Fate of Two Worlds yesterday and I don't know why it took me so freaking long to get this one... Seriously, what is wrong with me??? This game is not only awesome and tons of fun to play, but Deadpool is so freaking hilarious that I woke my husband up laughing! "Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang!" he says as he's shooting... Deadpool, you slay me!

Anyway, I started Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel a few days ago and I'm guessing I'm about halfway through. It's a decent co-op third-person shooter worth at least a playthrough with a friend if you could find the game at a decent price. That said, I'm actually really disappointed that they simplified this game so much. The core gameplay is in tact but a lot of the great features from the previous game are removed which is a huge bummer because I've always felt The 40th Day was really underrated because of those features. Not only was it a better game for it, it was a worthy co-op experience.

My girlfriend yesterday talked me into buying a WiiU, we've had loads of fun with the New Super Mario Bros eventhough we suck at teamwork.

My fiancé bought me a PS4 today! It's the Canada exclusive bundle that comes with Last of Us, which of course will now make me look like a total ass! Awesome!
On the way out of the Best Buy parking lot I spotted a purple box that looked strangely like a Capcom-style NES box on the grass. I got out of the car and checked and it was a complete boxed copy of Little Mermaid! SUPER WEIRD! |
