Mirage Volume 2
I will admit that I couldn't find anything about my question. Mirage TMNT Vol 2 numbers 9-13, does anyone know where to find them? I can't find hard or soft copy anywhere. Thanks!

Does anyone know why they changed the color of Renets outfit in The Works vol 2 from blue to red?

Because the people who colored it put no effort into making sure things were as they were supposed to be.

There's one for each turtle and also a unified TMNT book. Hardcovers of the micros? Seems a little excessive. But doing an ISBN # search on Google brings up other-language results that seem to suggest that's the case. For example: http://www.bol.com/nl/p/leonardo/9200000035671399/ |

Hey!
I'm an old school turtles fan. Played with the toys, watched the series (am currently re-watching all of the original series! Which has been a lot of fun ) but I've never read a single Turtles comic , except for those large kids books they did back in the 90's or whenever... I've been reading around and The Mirage Comics continuity timeline, which was posted here and stickied, looks to be an amazing resource, but would it even be possible to try and read the comics like this for a beginnger, how do I start out reading the classic Mirage comics? Any trades I should pick up immediately? Thanks! |

The best place to start is, of course, TMNT (Vol. 1) #1. Really, the best place to start is: TMNT Volume 1 Microseries Tales of the TMNT Volume 1 Read those three series and just slot in the issues as they correspond to that timeline. You'll get a complete, satisfying narrative (and a REALLY good one). Then you can go to the Mirage stuff beyond that, if you want. |

Thank you Mark. Exactly what I was looking for. Someone to tell me "get this, this and this" because looking up Turtles comics on Wiki is just a jungle. Especially for a newbie.
I want, if possible, a complete run of the original TMNT by Eastman and Laird. How is the overall consensus on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ultimate Collection Volumes 1-5? I think I'll start by getting those books little by little... Or are there better alternatives? |

If you want the "canon" Eastman and Laird stories from volume one, the Ultimate Collection is the way to go as it's exactly that. The first couple UCs are the early New York issues with the micro series issues included where they belong, UC3 is the Northampton and Return to New York stuff, then UC4 and 5 collects City At War, which concludes volume one.
Or you can nab The Works books, which are the same collection but colorized (Ultimate Collection is in the original black and white), except they haven't gotten to the later volumes yet and some people are unhappy with the color jobs. And nab the first two IDW trades of Tales of the TMNT as well; the seven issues between them are volume one of Tales and they tie into volume one of TMNT. For example, the Rat King is introduced in Tales before appearing later in the main book. |

As always I'll chime in simply to say stick with black & white, no matter what you do. It's how it was meant to be read. The art is so sick, the detail gets lost otherwise. Plus, as Joey said, their color jobs leave something to be desired, with or without the many errors.

Roughly how many copies of Vol. 1 #2 second print were made? It's value hasn't changed at all since I got my copy like 5 years ago, so I'm guessing it must be quite a few.
