LOL Can't wait to see that circus scene, clowns will look more terrifying than they were in the original film with this guy in charge.
Light hearted I wouldn't exactly call this film, that mother reunion scene would freakin get me to cry each time I saw it. Not to mention this film was what got me afraid of clowns in the first place |

I seriously don't get the point of remaking Disney's classics unless they have a new vision or something to tell.
When it works, you get the Jungle Book. When you have an idea like Maleficent, I respect it, even if I personally don't like it. When you're desperate for cash, you get Beauty and the Beast (2017). Based on the description, I see that'll be the case with Dumbo.

But just because you love something from way back when, or was an inspiration doesn't mean it's immediately evident in your work, or be there at all depending on the project. My gripe is more that for me Burton hasn't made anything worth watching in over a decade and hasn't been a consistent director in over 20 years. |

This feels like a total cash grab but I know I'll end up seeing it anyway.
Although I really would like to see a live action reboot of The Hunchback of Notre Dame based on the stage musical. I would like the gargoyles to be in it but more toned down (because God, they were annoying in the movie) and just like the American stage musical, more elements of the book would be amazing. Besides, there's been at least one adaptation of that book every decade, the most recent one being in 1999 so we're overdue. |

Academy-Award winning actor Alan Arkin and DeObia Oparei are the latest actors to join the film.

Here's your first look at Dumbo. Images were leaked from Cinemacon.

I actually really like the way Dumbo looks in CG.
This is probably the Live Action remake of Disney that I'm most looking forward to, followed by the Lion King in 2019.

He doesn't look bad, I find him adorable.
This movie is not out until next year, so they still got plenty of time to make the CGI better.

It'll be great having 3 Disney Live Action remakes (Dumbo, The Lion King and Aladdin) all come out within the same year.
I'm curious as to how long the live action remake of Dumbo will be, considering the original had barely an hour's runtime.

Looks a lot less creepy then a Tim Burton movie usually looks. Dumbo's design looks fine though that is only a still picture.

One of the big things about this remake is. The fact the movie starts out with Dumbo flying. In the original you only saw Dumbo flying at the end. So it's like a continuation of that.

I thought was watching Mary Poppins or Saving Mr. Banks during the first few seconds of that teaser. It did have some moments that stay faithful to the original like Dumbo hiding in the hay and the Pink Elephants. A new poster also debuted and it appears that the "magic feather" will come from a white bird instead of a crow.

That was like...75% humans . I don't want to get on the "original movie" train, but looks like I'm going to have to name that train "Casey Junior" and come on down the track. All around the track with the smokey stack...
While the move does take place in the circus, the humans didn't really have a lot of involvement, but that's okay. I was a little okay with the direction it was taking until there were more humans involved than the damn baby elephant. And where's Timothy the mouse??? Are we replacing him with the humans?
