That's my job you're talkin' smack about there, buddy, bring it. lol
Although I can assure that most people are totally into celebrating Father's Day, because my cards sold pretty well this year, esp at two of my stores. All the dad gift bags wiped out, too. Feet still hurt, but saved me a little effort on the post-holiday change over. |

Then in that case, I'll settle for shutting down Hallmark's Valentine/Mother/Father cards, and leave them the birthday/anniversary/it's a boy/girl/graduation cards. Fair enough?

Eh, they're a pretty decent company though. Far better than my last one. After having the greedy bastards at the top of my prior employer, I was rather surprised when the owner of Hallmark voluntarily took a pay cut due to the shut downs while at the same time giving us workers added pandemic pay (ending after next week). I mean, no one has to buy cards and whatnot, but plenty of people still like to. Even if I myself tend to stick to the ones I stock at Dollar Tree. |

Always with a MGTOW theme, apparently. But by all means, white knight for him.

Google also exists. You could have found out in quicker time than it took to write that reply to this thread.

But on the off chance that I stumble across $hit my work machine won't like, this way, I gain superior knowledge AND no "site blocked due to workplace blah blah blah." A miracle, yes? Such strategy. But THANK YOU, Cure, for looking out for me. I can always count on you, dear brother.

@Cylons If your book reads like this, don’t quit your day job, ever.
I mean, it’s the vibe I get. Last edited by TommyT; 06-24-2020 at 04:03 PM. |

Kevin Smith? No idea what you're talking about.
But seriously, dude, I'm not taking you home. You and me, together, it's never gonna happen. Sorry to do that to you. But you can remember this time we shared, and beat off to it in the shower. No judgment.

Should Father's day be banned? Obviously not, that is dumb proposition.
The argument sound in that article, that it would be offensive single mothers, is silly. If that was valid, then wouldn't Mother's day in turn be offensive to single fathers? |

Didn't look at it, but if that is its argument, that it's offensive to single parents, yeah, that's pretty stupid. There is no point having an issue against one when the other exists for moms.
Come on, Father's Day (and likewise for Mother's Day) isn't even only about fathers... it's also about grandfathers, uncles, and any of the men in a person's life who may fill that roll, so even if someones own father isn't in the picture for whatever reason, chances are that there are other valued men in their life and is why "like a father" cards exist along with many general cards, not only the dad ones. |

My wife always wishes me Happy Father's Day because we're "parents" to our puppy dog. That's cute.
22 years ago-ish, the girl whose abortion I paid for used to also wish me a Happy Father's Day, because she had a dark sense of humor. That was.... a lot less cute.
