An all Male Ghosbusters movie is also in the works at Sony

The all Female Ghostbusters reboot isn't the only movie Sony is doing, They are also planning an all male Ghostbusters film to compliment it.

In fact Sony has created a separate studio to handle the Ghostbusters franchise and branding, This new studio is called, Ghostcorps, The studio will be runned by Ivan Reitman and Dan Aykroyd.

This is an interesting development. Could it be the daughters of the four Ghostbuster members reforming their father's business while this is a reboot? This one has me interested and its nice to see Dan involved.

Plus the Russo Brothers will direct the all male Ghostbusters movie, They previously directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier and I believe are going to direct Civil War next.

Also, this sounds like Sony doing what Sony does and preparing to double down on something so hard they run it straight into the ground. If there's one thing Sony knows how to do it's mishandle and then bury viable IP.

This sounds like a trainwreck waiting to happen. I can now see people purposely skipping the one with the all-female cast and watching this one instead, so now Sony will lose a tremendous amount of box office sales on the all-female movie.

Over saturation is never a good thing. Oh well, its Sony.

Both of them are probably doomed to suck, though I'm a little more confident in the newly announced one since the Russo bros. are involved. But geez... Sony really is desperate at this point, aren't they?

Can't say I disagree. It seems silly to basically say, "Hey rabid fanboys who are so bent out of shape about the Girl Ghostbusters, don't worry, we're totally gonna do an all dude one, because I mean...it's how it's SUPPOSED to be."

Just do one movie with a 4 person squad with a Hard core scientist, a true believer, a snarky jerk, and the normal person. Cast the BEST whoever for the role.
