Now we're coming down to the final "good" portion of the 4kids show and we're back for another round of voting.

Good Genes Part 2. I enjoyed seeing the Mystics' triumphant return after missing for three seasons. Also, the timing and pace of this episode is EXCELLENT. The switching back and forth from the lab to the Foot was done excellently.

Because Season 5 is generally unpopular because it too anime-ish, and FF and BttS are considered the weakest and worst seasons of the show.

That still doesn't mean that this was the last good season. A dip in quality doesn't mean bad. And I never had a problem with Season 5 aside from the underdeveloped human fighters.

Really, Season 5 isn't bad, but doesn't quite measure up to the first four due to the animation as shown above, plus it suffered from executive meddling which threw viewers off when they saw Fast Forward before the "Ninja Tribunal episodes". I voted for Scion of the Shredder, as the destruction of many of the turtles' properties since the beginning of the series (turtles' lair, Battle Shell, Shell Sub, and Turtle Tunneler) makes it one of the darkest episodes of the entire series. However, A Tale of Master Yoshi is another gem that harkens back to some of the earliest issues of Vol. 1, and reveals more about Splinter's origin.

It isn't just a dip in quality - it's poor writing and generally boring. The fights are just generic fist-fighting. In FF you could replace the turtles with any heroes and nothing would change much.

Wow. So many good eps to choose from. I voted for The Ancient One as that was a pretty good episode. I know many don't like it, but I loved it. I didn't mind the excessive farting, and I loved the flashbacks Leo had when he was fighting his stone self.
I also liked Scion of the Shredder, Prodigal Son, Insane in the Membrane, Tale of Master Yoshi, Adventures in Turtle-Sitting, both Good Genes arcs, and Ninja Tribunal.

Scion Of The Shredder has just a slight edge over The Ancient One, Insane In The Membrane, and Tale Of Master Yoshi.

Ditto. It's not just a dark story with gruesome visuals, but it gives us some back story for Baxter, and makes us feel sorry for his plight...and he's a villain!

I voted for Good Genes Part 2. It was cool how the turtles fought at Shredder's Skyscraper just like in Season 1. I like how clever the mystics were, how they didn't attack the turtles because they were the key to their freedom, how they got Bishop to destroy the crystal.
I like how Leonardo noticed how much the building changed. |

I chose Adventures in Turtle-Sitting (you put the hyphen, right?) because it kicked off one of my absolute favorite arcs. Plus, it was the first time in a long time that I was genuinely horrified (I didn't see Insane in the Membrane until later, of course).

Personally, though I've always counted multi-part episodes as one true episode. (I know, I know... my opinion.) So if I can pick both, it's "Good Genes." If not, "Insane in the Membrane."

I'm with Bubbly here. There's a lot of good ones to choose from, and for different reasons.
-The Ancient One was good for finally developing Leo's rather angsty (but completely justified) behavior. And being a big Leo fan myself, I approve whole-heartily. -Scion of the Shredder was perhaps the Season's big "s*it just got real" moment with the lair being destroyed and despite my issues with Karai's motivation for it, it did solidify her as a threat in Ch'rell's absence. -Prodigal Son was good if only to see Leo reunite with his family and rightfully kick Karai's sorry a** for her stupid s*it. -Insane in the Membrane as already mentioned finally gave us a sympathetic insight for Baxter and it's dark imagery didn't detract from that nor wasn't being dark for the sake of being dark. -Adv. in Turtle Sitting/Good Genes arc was awesome because it dealt with a dilemma for the Turtles who'd normally go to the Turtle who would know how to solve the recent mutant outbreak but found himself a victim to it instead. Leaving them no choice but to confront the only one who not only was responsible for the outbreak itself, but also the one who could supply them with what was needed, Bishop. |

I'd have to say the Ancient One, as it had a lot of dramatic character development with Leo.

I loved the Savanti Romero 2-parter. It's based on one of the best issues of classic Mirage.
