What are some of the weirdest phrases/quotes you have ever heard?

My list:

-" I was never born..."
-" That's so cray-cray!"
- " You say tomato, I say tomato."
- " Life is like a box of chocolates."
- " Baby cakes!"

People have told you they were never born? That's weird... If what you've listed are the strangest things said to you, your life has been a privileged one! I've heard/read so much insane nonsense in my short-life it's any wonder I haven't bumped myself off yet. I don't have any specific quotes on-hand but some of Tumblr's odder ideology comes to mind, people who claim they have the soul of a squirrel or are "trans-ethnic".

Oh, Megan Fox being cast as April O'neil was referred to as "a gift from God" by Sharkblade, though I'm paraphrasing. That takes the cake.

I'm sure I've got some good ones, but off the top of my head... not so much at the moment.

Don't have an exact quote, but the biggest one I can currently recall is once years ago my sister told us that a friend of her had seriously believed that the sun and the moon were the same thing; the sun simply went down at night, cooled off, and came back up. They were already a little past high school when I heard about this...

On that note.

Forbes: "'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Is One Of The Most Feminist Films Of 2014"

And we should be thankful for Fox and the film, remember, it's a blessing.

Lol seriously? If I was a woman I'd take offence to that statement by Forbes.

I did and do find that claim to be very absurd. Esp considering there were the likes of "Divergent" and another "Hunger Games" out the same year. I mean, come on. And they based it on what, Megan Fox? Really?

And as much as I appreciate films that have women in good, central roles - TMNT is not where I want it. TMNT is free to focus all on the boys, that's just fine...as long as it's the right boys.

As a woman I'm more offended by Hollywood making it possible for the Forbes comment to be a defensible position.

On Fleek.
That one I only get because of context, but have no idea where it stems from.

My Mom was a huge fan of "Save it for the Marines", but I never did get an explanation as to where it came from, nor why they would be any more interested in listening to my nonsense than she was.

I grew up in Hamilton, Ontario and instead of saying "Yeah, right!" or "As if!" we'd say "Nice head!"

Lisardo brings this up once in a while - In the Fred Wolf TMNT episode Plan Six from Outer Space Bebop and Rocksteady (cloaked to look human) kidnap April and take her to the basement of Channel 6. The Turtles eventually show up and just before their disguise wears off, this interesting line of dialogue happens...

DONATELLO: "Uh you two haven't seen April O' Neil, have you?"
BEBOP: "I never could see her!"

Lisa and I have both been perplexed by that line for the last couple of years. We thought perhaps it was meant to imply some sort of sexual innuendo like Bebop secretly has a boner for April or something.

Not sure I've ever quite caught onto that line. Strange indeed. o.O

Though my immediate thought right now was, "Yes, Turtles, she's been a figment of your imagination all along. You only wished the reporter was your token human friend."

Me: So you gonna hang out with Joe Fritz?
Fritz: Nah, he makes me sad.
Me: Why I thought you were cool?
Fritz: Yeah but I dunno. Somethings off about him. He smells weird.
Me: How does he smell?
Fritz: He smells like cigarettes and regret

“I’ll fight ya for a fiver!”

Sounds like something you’d expect Jessie and James to say as part of their Team Rocket motto.

"I am the weather man because I am cool to the men and hot to the women!". A friend of mine used to say that a lot. Every time he got a look.

My grandpa uses the phrases "What the flitter!" and "Come a chunk floater." when it rains heavy.

My dad used to call heavy rain a “toad strangler”

Also, if we asked him what an object was and he also didn’t know what it was called, he’d tell us it was a “layover to catch meddlers”. Of course when you are three you just accept it.
