LOL, I just looked it up on Amazon. Whoops, my bad. So, technically I could just get season 10 in order to have those episodes. But considering I still don't have seasons 7, 9, and 10, I think it's worth getting.

Yeah...be happy that one of the most popular cartoons of the 80's/early 90's, and arguably one of the most popular cartoons of all time 'At Least' got a DVD release.

It's a no brainer release. Thus why they cheaped out from the beginning. Because 'why put tons of effort into it when people will buy it regardless'.

Remember the Season 1 DVD came out in 2004 when the second season of the 4kids cartoon was starting, and we didn't get Season 10 until 2012 when the Nick cartoon began.

It took Lionsgate the entire timeframe from when the 4kids show was airing up until the start of the Nick cartoon just to get all 10 seasons out on DVD. I remember back then we didn't even know if they would finish releasing the show on DVD or just stop in the middle.

Counting how popular this series is, fans really got bad luck that such a careless company had the license, any other company would've done a much better job or licensed the show to someone who'd done a great job.

Volume 2 came out one year after V.1, it really came by surprise since no one expected it to happen anymore. Terrible quality, terrible covers, at least they were budget releases at the time.

How come the new release of the Van isn't up for pre-order on Amazon? All I can find are the older listings.

I'd say this might be more of an 'in-house', smaller production run from Lionsgate, but I could be wrong. They'd certainly make more money selling it themselves than to Amazon at wholesale...

Breaking my "vacation" to report on something I just noticed!

If you're in Canada and missed the previous release of this set, you might want to check Amazon.ca right now.

Then why not release the next cartoon - the 2K3 series? Not Lionsgate, obviously. But Nick should follow suit.

Not true, there's still some reasonably priced one lurking about.

The 2K3 series was produced in SD, so I doubt a Blu-ray would ever exist. It would look awesome in HD though.

Out of curiosity, those of you who ordered the Complete Series Van set from the Lionsgate website, how much did you pay for shipping? I can't seem to find how much they charge...

That's not bad at all! Thanks for letting me know. Did you choose standard ground shipping?

I happened to get that TMNT DVD set that has those episodes

Planet of the Turtleoids – Season 5
Night of the Rogues – Season 7
Cowabunga Shredhead – Season 3
Superhero for a Day – Season 4
Turtles at the Earth’s Core – Season 3
Curse of the Evil Eye – Season 2
The Turtles and the Hare – Season 4
The Big Blow Out – Season 3
My Brother, The Bad Guy – Season 5
Shredder & Splintered – Season 1 episodes on it for about..oh $20. I got it this week at a Wal-Mart that did some night shift work for. I bought the DVD when my shift was up.

I've only seen the Turtle Van w/ the disc set once at a different Wal-Mart and didn't have the money to get it.

The total for me came up with Tax plus Shipping at $93.74 and that's with Ground Shipping.

I completely agree with you guys. The 2k3 series has such beautiful animation to it that HD would be breathtaking. I know this has been discussed before, but what really seems to be the hold up a not having a similar box set for the 4Kids show? Legal and ownership rights over the series?

The 4kids show was produced in standard definition, not HD (besides Turtles Forever, which is a great candidate for a blu-ray release since, although produced in HD, it was only released on DVD).

Wow! Got on Amazon today to purchase a different TMNT DVD and it prompted me to add the Van set. I thought it must be a mistake since it had been sold out for so long. Glad to get one. I did get the set back when it was originally released, but the price shot up so high I sold it since I had never opened it. Now, I get it again and made a few hundred in the process.

Do any of the DVD's in the Turtle Van also include the clips of Behind The Shell w/ the voice actors that did voice work for the characters? I bought a bunch of DVD's recently and the only extras they had were of other cartoon movies that are out on DVD from LionsGate. >:p

The DVDs in the van set are exactly the same as the ones in the season sets. Well, except for the disc numbering.
