I've just finished Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Now, that was some good reading.

I had to read that for English. It funny, even though it has been around for about 500 years, but it's still funny

I'm in the process of polishing off a couple light reading books my mother-in-law sent me. They're a bit too cutesy for my tastes, so I think I'll need to combat them with a heavy dose of Mervyn Peake.

Portuguese Irregular Verbs by Alexander Mccall Smith
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd

Just finished reading Stephen Kings Carrie for like the fifth time. Now I'm reading "Going After Cacciato" by Tim O'Brien. It's slow but good.

I'm reading "Militärmusik" (military music) by Wladimir Kaminer. He's a jewish russian who lived in the CCCP in his youth. He wasn't exactly good at anything apart from story-telling. So he tells us his stories as a child, a rocker and a young soldier back in the day. It is very entertaining and well written.

I'm reading The Kite Runner. It's about a young boy in 1970's Afghanistan. It's absolutely fantastic thus far. I recommend it.

At the moment I am reading the series of Wolfgang Hohlbein "Chronik der Unsterblichen" = "Chronicle of the immortals".
It's about a vampire and very interesting.

I'm currently on "Die Stümper" (The losers) by Andreas Niedermann. A book about a former author without success who works in a steel factory at the moment. He meets a director who is rather successful and that director wants the author to write for him.

Andreas Niedermann is one of my favourite authors, he writes very down to earth and his characters are very credible, and they always come out of everyone's everday life. So basically your coworker could be a main character of one of his books.

I'm reading "Kindred." Quite possibly the worst book ever written. Never read it. Ever.

Do you know the comic that goes with the book(s)? I myself am not a big fan of Hohlbein, infact, I can't stand fantasy as a whole, so I wouldn't know if there was more then one book.

Anyhow, the cover to that book looks rather good, and it's not too expensive.

"Saturday" by Ian McEwan. I think the guy is a schizophrenic. He writes all over the place.

"The Curious Incident of the Dog at Night" I believe it's called? I didn't pay much attention to the title. These books just get worse and worse...

I just finished reading V for Vendetta. It's one of the best graphic novels I've ever read.
