Clint Eastwood in "The Mule"
Eastwood comes out of acting retirement to star (and direct) in this:
http://www.darkhorizons.com/first-tr...d-is-the-mule/ Eastwood play Earl Stone, a World War II veteran in his 90s who is broke, alone, and facing foreclosure of his business when he is offered a job as a drug courier for a Mexican cartel. Based on a true story, apparently. Thematically it seems very similar to Robert Redford's recent "Old Man and the Gun." But looks good to me! Hard to believe it's been 10 years since Gran Torino.

Saw "The Mule." Really good. An effective usage of tension and drama with also some interesting (and bloody) cartel politics on the side. Eastwood is looking a lot older than he did even in "Gran Torino" -- and wow, has it been 10 years since that movie already? -- but he still delivers. I love that just about every character in the whole movie that hates him or wants to kill him... sooner or later in the movie end up singing his praises. The best scenes are Eastwood's character partying it up at the drug lord's mansion in Mexico.
