Interracial relationships are the new norm. Didn't you people watch Spiderman: Homecoming? Peter Parker dated a black girl (although Michael Keaton was the father since he was Vulture in the movie), and the new MJ (Michelle) is black in the movie as well if she becomes Peter's love interest in the sequel.

In cartoons we had John Stewart and Hawkgirl during Justice League Unlimited. Young Justice also had Superboy and Miss Martian, if that counts.

I'm sure Casey and April will be a romantic item in this series like always, it doesn't matter if April is black now assuming Casey Jones is still white and they don't change him.

Black or not is not a problem for me. The only important thing for me is her weight in the series.
She shouldn't be only a damsel in distress but she shouldn't be stronger in a combat like the turtels either. In the 2k12 series in season 4 were a lot of fight scenes when the turtles seemed defeated but April saved the day with her telekinetic powers.
That was a little too much.
For once it could go, but it happened too often.
The turtles seemed so not so effective in fight.

By all means, I can see the turtles having an alternate father figure since Splinter by all means is a little nuts, but I know about it being Casey. At least someone with enough sense to call Splinter out on his sh!t with the whole "train four young boys for murder and nothing else" thing

Do you really think decades old movies in which everybody knows the basic plot of at least, equate to something very much more recent? Most people I believe put statute of limitation on spoilers at a year.

I was also being half-facetious to mock Cubed's pretentiousness. The fact that he was (partially?) wrong just makes it funnier.

I didn't see 2012's Splinter like that, I mean yeah sure they are trained ninja's but I saw it more for their own defence and protection given what they are, don't know about every version though.
