Dick hasn't been Robin in the mainline comics since what...the early 80's? It's a little too late to think that when he hasn't been Robin for almost 40 years.

It's really only the cartoons and spinoffs that made it seem like Dick was Robin longer than he was. Like Dick in B:TAS, then Teen Titans 2003 Robin is Dick, and we got Young Justice Robin as Dick at the start, etc.

In the Batman title Batman of Zurr En-Arrh has emerged from Batman's psyche again while a demon Azsmer has taken possession of Batman in Detective Comics. Not to mention Catwoman is getting people together to stop The Orghams despite her part in being an unwitting pawn of Vandal Savage. The writers don't talk to each other as you have two different possessed Batman storylines going concurrently.

All I am stating is, if no one else is better than why settle for less iconic? I am enjoying him as the tertiary lead in World's Finest.

Looks like Wonder Woman's daughter is being teased as an adopted one, and her real mother is the amazon responsible for the bar massacre

Over in Nightwing, Dick's reform of Bludhaven is revealed to have been majory influenced behind the scenes by his ex girlfriend Bea, who's then stabbed by someone and thrown into the drink off a cliff while bleeding out.

You could have put a spoiler there since I will not get my copy until tomorrow afternoon. I don't know why this Bea person could have just been left behind and forgotten about. Why attempt relevance? Dick Babs forever, she was just around when Grayson was amnesic. Easily dismissed.

Edit: Now having read it myself, I don't understand what means Bea means in that she is allowed Dick to make a philanthropic difference. Nothing gets done unless a pirate treasure keeper allows it? I don't get it. Well, anyway hopefully she is dead now so it won't matter despite weaving her into the narrative for whatever reason. Also, making him wear that open shirt is dumb. It does not seem pirate-like, it does not attract female readers just makes men roll their eyes.

Sorry 'bout that

I'm a bit more careless these days because I've stopped collecting most DC Comics.

I understand. I gave up on IDW, but I am enjoying World's Finest and Green Lantern. Nightwing is typically
uninteresting on his own, but I really enjoy this current run IF Heartless can be resolved. Detective Comics (is it just me or is it too similar to Batman title though this direction started first) and Flash are okay. I really enjoyed Jeremy Adams recuperating Wally West, but not sure why Spurrier is going for and concerned after all the good Adams did for Wally West.

What DC do you still keep an eye on?

Superman, I think William's run is a lot of fun and gives me Superman: TAS vibes, it's made me forget about the awful status quo with Jon because it barely uses him. I sort of headcanon that kid Jon's off to a special boarding school or something

World's Finest by Waid is great.

I love Taylor's Titans, though I don't like how they're cantering an event on Beast Boy, I like Gar, but it seems like Taylor is trying to tell a Swamp Thing story and just happens to be using Gar for it.

Nightwing is my favourite DC book right now. So much joy and fun.

So far I'm enjoying King's take on Wonder Woman. Hoping he hasn't walked back on Trinity with that revelation she could be adopted.

Flash was great until Spurrier got it. it's not bad, but he's giving Wally family drama and I can't be bothered with that.

Thoughts on Batman/Santa Claus: Silent Knight?

I was hoping Bea was brought back to be killed off as she is unnecessary and thus fodder that is expendable.

Minor spoiler related to Hal Jordan's title...

Kilowag who has been on Earth with Hal has been dead this whole time and the story which involves Hal and Sinestro that got him killed again will be told next issue.

They killed off Kilowog again? But they showed us before he and his people can't even really die. He was resurrected pretty easily.

Also,I did not watch the short-lived cartoon, but a character from it is being introduced into comics,Razer a noble Red Lantern. It was in the solicits that either Kilowag,Hal, or Sinestro would die in #7. What we did not know it would be presented as a frame story, and someone actually does die. I don't take it seriously when it claims someone dies in a solicit, so I didn't anticipate it to be fact. I suppose it's dead for now. I mean, I am surprised Alfred is still dead.

I had read that he had work at a third party comic company. I doubt I am the only one surprised that Bruce is possessed by an asmer demon jb Detective Comics and simultaneously possessed by Zurr en Arrh. Being a Continuity Cop with the possessions it would seem Abernathy would have turned down Chip Zsdarksy with Ram V's plot already inching to it. Also, Catwoman playing a role in Detective Comics while she should be playing dead. Ah,well. Things were better pre-crisis anyway.

I enjoyed the new Crisis on Infinite Earths Pt 1 movie.

Interesting movie for sure. The vignette style story telling fits a comic book movie very well.

Oh geeze I didn't know it was out already. I haven't sat through a DC cartoon in ages, but I'd check that one out.

For better or worse It does build off the last 20ish DC animated movies (Flashpoint Paradox and JL Dark Apokolips War especially)

In Nightwing#110 Dick and Superboy go to The Iceberg Lounge for information and they encounter a man and a woman who are referred to as Cobblepot??? Does The Penguin have children? A son and a daughter? When did this happen? Why does Tom Taylor assume that we read everything and would not be thrown by this? If one or both are Penguin's children then who actually would be the mother?

Getting annoyed at DC. Batman 89 Echoes 2 has changed release dates like 5 times. I think it was supposed to originally come out in December now its March 5th.

A Similar thing happened with Issue 5 of the first run of Batman89
