The fact that a lot of people born in the 90s feel old, while I was born in the 80s. This makes me feel old.
I was born in 1985 and I attended a screening of the first movie in 1991 (it came out a year later here in Italy). This doesn't make me feel old, it makes me feel proud.

Kids born in 2000 are now legal 18 year old adults. Makes me crazy just thinking about it. When I think about kids in the early 2000's I assume they're all still babies or toddlers or something.

Good god. Anyone here can legally date someone born in the year 2000 now, at least those born up to the end of August. GOOD GOD.

TMNT doesn't especially make me feel that but then I only got into it recently so it doesn't count. I suppose the old movie makes me think of the time it was out (as TMNT was so popular) and the sound track was in the music chart. I'm sure I have that on a NOW vinyl album somewhere actually.

I was born in the '70s and was 11 or 12 when the original movie was in theaters. I remember the ungodly line down the street to get into the first movie. The theater was packed. A little kid in front of me kept repeating the lines from the trailer. I also remember my friends were confused as to why they changed the Turtles' origin from the cartoon, and I had to school them on the Mirage comics.

Oh my gosh 1995 still feels recent to me.

The ADHD feel of the new cartoon and my desire for characters and story telling in a cartoon make me feel pretty old

I miss episodic storytelling or maybe that's not getting old, maybe that's just a fashion thing.

10 years ago was 2008, when the 2k3 series was pretty much over and airing its final episodes. I'm pretty sure the Back to the Sewer season was airing in 2008, because Turtles Forever came out in 2009.

Man, it's hard to believe it's now been an entire decade since the 4kids cartoon ended. Goddamn, where does the time go?
