LEGO TMNT Topic

Toys R US had a sale going for LEGO here this weekend according to the website, but of course, TMNT is excluded from the deal. >_>

Surprised we haven't seen any comparisons between the LEGO TMNT and 2003 Mega Bloks ones. I still have my Mega Bloks Leo and Mike here from the Battle Wagon set, but nothing else.

LEGO TMNT are now on amazon for sale. Well, not Baxter or the Lair. But the other ones.

Simply go on amazon and search for Lego ninja Turtles and you will find them all

Make sure that if you buy them, they are sold and shipped by amazon.com, some third party sellers are selling them MUCH higher.

*edit* Kraang set is now out of stock. Keep checking I'm sure stock will be replenished regularly now.

Well done Lego, well done. Had a blast and they look just great. A few shots of mine are below....

There were a few hiccups on Baxter's build. I recommend being careful with the window sticker, mine was slightly misaligned so I pulled it up and the window area pulled all the grime off the Lego and now the window is foggy. Hardly a big deal....but just saying.

Does April come with two heads? I ask because on the corner of the box it shows her smiling but the figure itself is angry.

Baxter set review



I'm disappointed in the LEGO Mouser, it doesn't look like them at all to me. I wish they'd done something more custom like they did with fishface and dogpound.

A lot of LEGO figures come with printing on both sides of the head so they have some range of expression, just turn the head to which side you prefer.

Lego store says February for UK. Was kinda hoping to get the lair for Christmas but guess I'll have to wait. At least Playmates managed to get the figures out earlier than expected.

It is very common for LEGO to do at least 1 set that is 'hard to find' for each wave of each license. The Baxter set is great and I plan on tracking it down, or order it off lego.com, we'll see

It's not even hard to find... if you go to Toys R Us you should find it. Or again, as I've said several times, just order it off shop.lego.com, they have free shipping promotions now and then so that makes it easier.

LEGO should release a TMNT minifigure collector pack with all the minifigures. That way, we wouldn't have to buy sets we don't want and end up with doubles. I know they won't do that though, the best we'll probably get is keychain minifigures of the turtles.

I understand man, but unfortunately it is a very common LEGO tactic.

I just want to say though, if you buy a set that has the same turtle you already have... they aren't 100% doubles. Cause the faces are different!

Just look at the different Michelangelo faces in these two sets:

A lot of LEGO minifigures have two faces (one on each side) but figures with special heads (like the TMNT) can't do that. But at least they give you two expressions if you buy different sets.

That's true, I didn't notice that. Also, one set comes with a nun chuck and the other comes with a kusarigama. The truth is, I really only want the figures...I could care less about all of the vehicles and whatnot.
