Maybe a couple years down the line we could get a DTV movie revisiting this series, a lot of kids shows have reunion movies years after the show got canceled.

I don't see it as the series getting cancelled though. I see it as the story wrapping up since Ciro had stated before he wanted the story done in at least five seasons and he got that so he could wrap it up.

I also agree that this could be a situation where the future is altered in some way either by Renet or one of the Turtles or possibly by the little mutant that is being protected by Donnie. I do think it's Don and April's kid and if that's the case, that's awesome!

And not a special or a movie, but probably most in line with what Technodrome fans would want out of revisiting TMNT 2012 in a few years:

The HUGE difference with most of those is that there was no "reboot" to wipe those franchises clean and start over.

And in this case, Nickelodeon will have a new version of TMNT on air, then decide to revive the old version for a special concurrently. It's not out of the question, but I can't think of a whole lot of examples of concurrent versions of the same properties, except for the DC Direct to Video line which caters to a very different audience than children ages 6-11.

I just don't know how I can not have the Monster arc spoiled for me. People have actually uploaded it on YouTube, but it's a sped up chipmunk version. I just want to enjoy it properly. Darn it Nick!

I know it was unlikely but I was hoping that extra half hour may have been extended episodes.... not, here have a random ep from the season. ...and Nick have still not officially announced it have they? or have I got that wrong?

Yeah they have announced it, they have had a couple of promos on Nicktoons.

They describe the new eps as 'capturing stories form the brothers past and future' Loan Rat and Cubs was listed separately so, going on the wording, can we expect various future stories for this arc as well as past?

I think they're generally referring to the "Tales of the Ninja Turtles" season. This is probably just a placeholder description.
