Been lettin' it pile up a bit. Got some cool stuff recently.
First up, I got these Funko "Savage World" Street Fighter Ryu and Blanka figures: ![]() Again, 5.5s are what they are, but these are cool for what they are. Kinda bummed how this line comes with NO accessories, unlike every other set of "Savage World" and "Primal Age" figures they did, but I guess they were running out of money near the end or something, and since their 5.5 line was ending I guess they just couldn't be bothered with any extras. I know Street Fighter characters don't really have weapons or "accessories" but something like a clip-on fireball effect or something like they did with Raiden's lightning would have been better than nothing. Ah well. With these, I have all of their Street Fighter figures except the blue and yellow Blanka variant. If I find him cheap enough I'll snag him. I find most of these for about ten bucks, which ain't bad. Next up, another one for the Kenner/Hasbro "JLA" line, with this awesome Wonder Woman! ![]() ![]() Pretty perfect representation of her 90s look down to the last detail. For some reason, it took them a long time to get this figure out there, as she wasn't part of the "Total Justice" line that came out before this series (and that they borrowed most of the molds from; seriously, 2/3s of the JLA line is repainted "Total Justice" figures, not that I'm complaining, it's just weird that the first line had a friggin' HUNTRESS figure but no Wonder Woman). Furthermore, not only was she NOT in "Total Justice", she didn't even come out until the very last wave of THIS series, which just baffles me. This is a cool line, but they put out no less than three Batman variants before coming out with their FIRST Wonder Woman, and that just kills me. ZAURIEL got a figure first. PLASTIC MAN, even. C'mon. Anyways, great figure, only gripe is that the "lasso" is just a molded plastic golden/yellow ring, but at least it snaps onto her hip. She's kinda got resting bitchface BUT I admire the level of paint detail for that scale in a 1998 figure. I've got a couple more of these JLA figures on the way. Trying to get all the new characters first before going back and filling in the repaints like Aquaman and Flash, since again, they really are just the Total Justice figures repainted; some look better, some don't. Next up, a much-needed addition to the OSFTM WCW line, "The Total Package" Lex Luger! ![]() This is one of the more rare (and expensive) figures in the "rubber statues" series of WCW figures. This "WCW Nitro" set was the last series before they switched to the "pulsating" and then "action feature" style and scale, so most of them are a bit harder to come by now. Also, this was the one and only Luger figure they did from that line, and as one of the final figures in that set he was one of the few guys not to be released as either a repaint or a two-pack (although later Lex figures saw multiple repackagings). So he's a bit more scarce than a lot of the other guys. Sadly, while I don't dislike the figure it's one of the weaker ones in the line. The pose is spot-on, but a lot of little things mess it up. His armbands are too low, they're supposed to be higher up on his arms near his armpits. His facial likeness isn't that great. And his head sculpt suffers from a lack of sculpt detail in his hair; the top of his head mostly looks like a smooth round blob painted yellow. And like a lot of these figures, he's just too darn pale. Like, he's SO pale you can only barely recognize him as Lex, whose secondary characteristic aside from his physique was his golden (but not quite Hogan-level) tan. I know that it was most likely down to being cost-effective and molding most of these figures in the same color plastic, but it really hurt the figures for guys like Luger and Hogan. Altogether though, not too bad, and a must-have for this series. Finally, these AWESOME Bill & Ted figures from Fig Biz and Incendium showed up in the mail today! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() For some reason, I thought these would be a little bigger, but regardless, they're GREAT! The likenesses are nearly perfect and all the little details seem spot-on. Having swappable "regular" and "guitar pick" hands was a nice touch. These are a no-brainer for any Bill & Ted fan! I think they're about $35 each on the Incendium website. They also have the "Bogus Journey" variants, The Grim Reaper, and the Phone Booth, all of which I'll hopefully be picking up soon. I got a couple of other things but I'll be posting them in the appropriate thread. |

I tried to find a Blank Panther Funko Pop when Chadwick Boseman died. Had no immediate luck then. Just got one delivered today. Good addition to the shelf.

Got some new stuff.
First up, getting closer and closer to finishing the list of characters from the OSFTM WCW line, with the first-release Kevin Sullivan: ![]() I went with this loose one because he's gotten pretty tough to come by in-package for less than around $55; this was half that and in reasonably good condition, won't be too hard to fix up at all. Really just some minor scuffing on the shorts that needs to be smoothed out. I'm guessing a lot of kids used Sullivan as a "jobber" in their action figure wrestling leagues, because you never find any of his figures loose in anywhere near this good of shape, most of them are beat to sh*t. I've been needing him for a while, but this was the first one I've seen loose that didn't look like it got hit by lightning. Not a bad figure at all, I think it's the first Kevin Sullivan ever made, actually. He's not a character who got a lot of figures made, as he retired in 1997 right when wrestling figures were becoming a big thing again. The likeness is good; for whatever reason they opted to capture him in the middle of doing his "barking to himself" deal, which is interesting. ![]() This figure saw two repaints later on: One in dark blue trunks, and another in red with lightning bolts painted on his forehead from his "Taskmaster" gimmick. After that, they did a Taskmaster figure in the short-lived "Pulsating" line of vibrating figures, which I still need to pick up as it's apparently the hardest one to find. You see them loose now and then but, like this version, they're usually loose and very chewed up. So I'm trying to hold out for one in better shape. Still a few variants from this line I need, but as far as unique characters go, I only need the Nasty Boys and the Blue Bloods and I'll have everybody! Next up, something I picked up from Walmart partly for nostalgia, and partly to piss off IMJ. ![]() ![]() I actually swear I still have my original somewhere, but I lost the food accessories when I was like 5, so I couldn't help it, had to grab him. They also had Stay-Puft and it looks like now they're even starting to put out reproductions of the actual toy Ghostbusting weapons we had as kids, too, as they had that thing that shot the yellow foam pellets. I was tempted, but I passed. Finally, I picked up this little guy, Superman from the new Spin Master "DC Heroes Unite" line: ![]() Pretty good 3.75-inch scale Superman figure! I didn't know these were a thing, and it was under eight bucks so I had to grab it. I saw they had a Flash, too; I passed on that one since I was already spending a lot at the store but now I kinda regret it, I might start getting into these. My preference is more "modern" 6-inch and 7-inch figures, but I'm still a sucker for the "old school" scales as well. I haven't opened it yet but it's a good figure for that scale. The cloth-goods cape is a nice touch, and the articulation looks really good. Really nice evolution from what we had back in the '80s. I'm very tempted to buy a second one and give him trunks, though. ![]() I'm supposed to have more stuff but the post office keeps dickin' around with my stuff. Couple'a things keep getting sent back and forth between different post offices for some reason. Annoying, but given the snow I'm willing to let it slide, although I don't think that has much to actually do with it. |

I'm loving those DC 3 3/4" scale figs. I just haven't dove into that line yet, but when I see them... man. Tempting.

More mail; two new additions to the Kenner/Hasbro DC JLA line, Impulse and Plastic Man:
![]() ![]() ![]() Since I'm essentially done with the "Total Justice" line I've been filling in the holes I have in this JLA set. About half the figures in this line were Total Justice repaints, so I've been focusing on getting the unique characters first and working backwards from there. These two characters generally go for about $20 each, but I was able to pay that for both together. Pretty good figures. This was the first-ever figure of Impulse, and only the second one of Plastic Man after the 1980s "Super Powers" release. I've got a few more on the way, might be here before the end of the week. |

I did think it's neat how they brought one (some? I only saw the one) of the old toy weapons back. I know a lotta people who broke theirs. If they reissue the proton pack I have no confidence in my ability to say no to it.

Got some new stuff today, some in the mail and some at Walmart.
In the mail, I got two more figures for the Kenner/Hasbro JLA line, Superboy and Steel: ![]() ![]() ![]() I wish this line had an Eradicator and Cyborg Superman, but oh well. These are pretty cool, although I think I prefer the versions that came with the Kenner "Man of Steel Collection" series better. Superboy needs his leather jacket and shades. But they're pretty cool. Next up, they didn't have Flash anymore at Walmart from the "Heroes Unite" line so I got Captain Marvel/"Shazam" instead: ![]() Not too bad. I don't know if I'll get too deep into this line but I know there's a few I'll pick up if I come across them. |

Mail call today. Behold, the stuff of nightmares... Superman Blue from the Kenner/Hasbro JLA line:
![]() To be fair, this is a reasonably good figure of an absolutely terrible idea. BUT, I'm a completist, so I bought it and I have his Red counterpart on the way. But I bought them through gritted teeth. |

I think the Walmarts that get these comes in a single order of 2....chances are if you see 2 or 4 on shelf with no Chase, then there is no Chase at that particular location. I've been to 5 Walmarts and seen 2 on shelf at 4 of them and 1 had 4...No Chase.I see the local scalper around here has the Chase but for 125....I'm not that desperate lol. If I find it, then good. If not then so be it. I'm not paying scalpers prices on this one.

I finally got a Marvel Legends figure that took me 2 years to get. I got Endgame Worthy Cap. It was a walmart exclusive and most toy collectors know Walmart is worthless in terms of stocking exclusives. Not to mention Scalpers got most of the stock and did their scalping on the bay. Finally Entertainment Earth got the rights to carry this figure so I got one

No fancy figures to add to the discussion, just another little toy Jeep (a red Willys Matchbox) to add to small collection. (Also in the same purchase one lone fwuffy blue plush sting ray leftover from Walmart's Valentine's stuff.)

Saturday mail, and one step closer to completing the Kenner/Hasbro "JLA" line, with the angelic warrior Zauriel!
![]() One of the more unique but also more forgettable members of the JLA, Zauriel was basically subbed in for Hawkman when DC decided that Hawkman's continuity was so convoluted and toxic that they had no choice but to just ignore the character's existence entirely for several years. But Grant Morrison wanted a flying guy with giant wings on his JLA team, and he couldn't use Hawkman, and so we got this guy. I found most of the remaining JLA figures I need for about $10-15 each, so I ordered a bunch of them. Red Tornado is still kind of pricey, so I'm waiting on him for a bit, but soon I'll have almost all of the single-packed figures. There were also a few box sets that came out, some of which included exclusive characters like the Joker and Lex Luthor who never had a single-card release in this line, so I'll be looking to pick those up soon as well. |

Hit Wal-Mart today and got some cool stuff.
First up, Flash from the Spinmasters "DC Heroes Unite" series: ![]() These figures are pretty cool, so far. The articulation is really great, especially at the scale. I was a bit let down when I opened the Superman and Captain Marvel/"Shazam" figures, because their cloth goods capes are pretty lousy; they've got plastic molded "shoulder folds" and the fabric piece sticks into a little slot on the figure's back, and it looks and feels pretty cheap. The material also feels flimsy, almost like ribbon. So I kind of appreciate this Flash figure because without that cape flaw it's pretty much as perfect as it gets at this scale. Next up, a few figures I HAD to pick up just because I'm trying my best to give IMJ a stroke... all FOUR of the throwback Real Ghostbusters action figures! ![]() ![]() ![]() They haven't had these in for a bit, and since they had all four I figured "f*ck it". I still have my originals - along with busted proton packs, naturally - but the chance to have some pristine ones was just too much to pass up. I didn't pick up Stay-Puft yet; kinda disappointed that he's a bit smaller and thinner than the original, but if he keeps hanging around at Wal-Mart I might break down soon. |
