I am not sure I will be able to watch the show if Jason no longer voices Leo. Hopefuly it was just for that ep.

I think it was only a temporary change, but we really won't know. I would think it would be more to the point that Jason is also working on his show "Orange is the New Black" and was probably doing that at the time that the episode was being recorded or he was taking care of his pregnant wife. I think people are jumping to conclusions way too early. Dominic has voiced Leo not only in the video game but has voiced him in a few other episodes of season two though they were only a few lines. Jason voiced Leo in the rest of the episodes, so I wouldn't worry about it just yet.

I'm thinking that if he wasn't in the main cast header but listed as a guest (if I'm remembering correctly) then it's likely temporary. Plus Biggs might be out for a while if his wife did give birth, since he'd be wanting to spend time with her and the baby. As such, I think Domenic's just there until Bigg's is ready to start voicing again.

Upon seeing him, that was my immediate thought as well! Almost surprised Mikey didn't make that joke as well.

I loved this episode so much,
but so much negativity for it here - Its nice to have some stand alones where after a few heavy eps we have a nice funny one.
Think it came out at the right time.
my wife and I were in histerics, especially the selfie - that got a full on bellow from my wife.
One for all the family this one, so many movie references too.

I hated this episode. It felt it was array of funny (subjectively not for me, but as I read some like) moments without consistency not only with rest of the series, but also with episode itself. While Mikey is not my favorite turtle...if he was I would hope he never gets another focus episode again if this is what it will be.

I still can't get over Antonio eating a foreign substance that just fell from the sky. If it had been an accident, I could have sympathized more. Was his business starting to fail and he needed a secret ingredient to get back on his feet? They could have written a better reason that he would just eat something off the ground, or something that fell from the sky.

Plus, he was called a humble man. Why did he suddenly want to turn people into pizza zombies and eat them? There are more and more people that just suddenly turn evil when mutated with no explanation.

I liked this episode quite a bit and am considering downloading it from iTunes.
I've only done that with the Lonely Mutation of Baxter Stockman btw.
I think I liked this one so much because I was expecting to really hate it based on the previews and commercials we got.
Mikey was really funny in this one and I felt he shined quite a bit.
He's the youngest of the turtles so of course he's going to be immature.
The pizza Mikey made was disgusting as all hell though.
I didn't really care for how the pizzas flew around though but I guess they needed them to get around some how.
I really liked the pizza head zombies though.
I think one of the coolest things about this episode is that it has so many pop culture references in it.
Is it me or did the mini pizzas have a different voice actor than Pizza Face?
I was thinking they sounded a bit like Gilbert Gottfried.
When I first saw the design of Pizza Face at comicon I hated it, but seeing it animated it really makes me want a toy of this guy.
And that animated mutation scene was great! It almost reminded me of Clay Face from Batman.
Over all as a fan of just about every incarnation of the TMNT I have to say this one really has a lot of old toon love going on in it.

Ok, I was just thinking today; some say this episode was a dream and some say it wasn't. I'm not super worried about if it was or not, but I do have a question. The reasons I can see for it NOT being a dream are:

1. How did Mikey's dream have Irma in it when they have not met.

2. Pizza Face was in Mikey's room at the end.

However, If it wasn't a dream, What could have happened for it to go from 'Mikey is knocked by Pizza Face slice' to 'Mikey wakes up in bed with no real memory of how he got there and no one has any idea he was anywhere other than in bed'
I hope I'm making sense... If it was real, why did Pizza Face attack him and then they all just suddenly end up in Mikey's room?

Ok so I was kind of excited because Pizza face was a Character who never appeared in the series nor in the comics also he was one of my favorite figures, and what a disappointment it was to see him as a stereo typical pizza monster. It would have been so much cooler to see him part pizza part human.

So far I think this one and Spider bites are the worst mutant designs.

The episode for it self was goofy but still kinda fun.

If Greg Cipes doesn't win anything for that performance, they're deaf!

Best episode ever! Gotta like a solo Mikey episode

Best part was when he was singing while cooking! Raph got annoyed with his song. At least Mikey didn't sing this song...

There hasn't been a pizza themed episode since Jonas seen on Disney Channel 5 years ago!

Speaking of "garbage of a show," how about this episode, huh? By far the worst episode of the series so far. It had the same formula and cliches as several other episode in the series like "Parasitica" or the one where the tripped on shrooms...I can't remember the name.

I'm not even going to bother with everything that was wrong with this episode because I'm sure its been touched on in this thread (haven't read every post), and at this point its not really worth it, BUT the one thing I did want to point out was that the whole reason Mikey wasn't affected by Pizza Face's power or magic or whatever the hell it was, was because he DIDN'T eat any of the affected pizzas. Yet, the way he defeated Pizza Face was by...eating him...

Its just.....bad. Everything about it was irredeemably awful.

I rarely post anymore but after this episode, I felt I had to.

I'll join the consensus, that this was terrible. More so then that, I was actually disturbed. Yes, I know that it is a cartoon and thematically this was supposed to inflict a goofy/silly tone but that still doesn't take away that Mikey ate somebody who was once human. If it had been an non sentient pizza monster, ok, but this was once a man who was then transformed into a mutant. Living pizza, or not, there was something wrong with that.

Tonally, and as a story it was all over the map. BabyTurtles was right, this is now the xth Mikey episode where he is treated as a joke. Maybe I'm biased because Mikey was always my fav but seriously, the 80s version is more dimensional.

And as a final nitpick, I never thought I'd say this but I'm done with the mutants on this show. Mutagen is whatever the writers want it to be. And I'm sick of it. When they want an actual character we get TigerClaw, Neutrailizer and Slash. Otherwise it's giant mushrooms, pizza monsters, squirrels gestating out of stomachs, not to mention inconsistent mutations such as Dr. Rockwell or Kirby where they become mindless monsters devoid of the intelligence they once had.

Ciro obviously brought in Mutagen so he could play monster mash.

That's true...but Filler =/= always good, either, and "Pizza Face" was bad AND filler. Which is all too common in this series.

Did you even watch the show? Mikey didn't eat all of Pizzaface. The slice of Pizza at the end of the episode was Pizzaface. He did not die.

The giant mushroom gave us one of the best episodes of the series, and the Squirrelnoids was a creepy and fun episode. The mindless monsters are kept to a minimum story-wise like Kirby-bat.

that was shoehorned in there so that this argument could end with people like you saying "hes still alive!" the whole thing doesn't matter, the plot was ****, nothing made sense, and nothing matters.

Pizzaface is alive, that's why he was there at the end. Should the writers ever use him again, that's why he was shown.

You can tell they had a lot of fun with this one and atleast for me, I thought it translated to the screen extremely well!

Really enjoyed this one, tons of references and clever moments. Just wish we got more character & plot development but it was nice nonetheless!

Mikey is still a badass.

That's semantics. Whether he was left "alive" so people like yourself would say that, it still doesn't take away that Mikey ate somebody. It was a disturbing image, despite him being a pizza monster, he was once a human being. Would it be ok if Mikey ate Dogpound or Fishface?

In this iteration, Mikey is portrayed as an idiot. It's bad enough in the less centric Mikey episodes, but for him, again, to be dismissed by his brothers, treated like a joke. Not only is it bad and lazy writing but there's no development or progression for the character.

My point is that Kirby and Rockwell aren't characters and so they are throwaway mindless monsters until the story needs them. Kirby could have been just as tragic if he retained his personality. The Turtles still would have wanted to cure him. Again, it's lazy writing. That's my point, I don't like the inconsistent mutagen. It's lazy. It's clear to me, Ciro just wanted monsters. With regards to the squirrels, there's no reason they couldn't have been aliens. But the mutagen has become a hodgepodge gumbo, and I'm tired of it. I expected more from this show.
