I dunno. I think it would be wise not to expect much from the Batman cameos.

Looks like we were right in guessing our guest's "Secret Identity". We should start a detective agency.

I'unno what's worse... the fact that that show ran for three seasons, or the fact that that dork f*cks Rebecca Romijn.

So... you're telling me her standards are low enough that maybe, just maybe, I'd have a chance with her?

By January they'll announce it as being officially Cancelled. March at the latest.

Non-animated movies are going away for a while. It's unavoidable by this point.

It's like movies are flailing about in the water trying to get out, and morons are taking their hand and shoving them further into it, forcibly drowning them.

I feel like if we took an actual vote, MOST people would throw up their hands, say "Enough is enough!" and advocate for trying to return to some semblance of normal activity.

Sadly, "Those Who Know Better" insist that's not allowed. "Think about grandma!"

Funny thing is, they always talk about "opposing tyranny and fascism in all its forms". Yet think nothing of forcing the economy to shut down "for as long as it takes!" even though MOST people don't agree with it. It wasn't put to a vote.

Funny how that all works.

Dumb. We're not fighting a virus as much as we're fighting a whole ideology.

There's no reason in the world theaters can't be widespread open with limited capacities and extra care to cleaning and sterilization. The thing is, the studios have to help them by actually releasing movies. I don't want to go to the theater and put a mask on to see "Jaws" again, I want to see "Ghostbusters Afterlife." I want to see "Wonder Woman 1984."

Yeah, it's dumb. It's ALL dumb.

I'm wrestling on Saturday. There were a bunch of shows this past Saturday. Wrestling started up again around here a few weeks ago, mostly outdoors but a few indoor venues. Nobody's gotten sick. At indoor venues, they just seat people one seat's width apart from each other and enforce mask wearing. Attendants disinfect the seats when people move around and they disinfect the ring, ropes, etc. between matches.

Crowds are small but steadily growing. The show I'm working on Saturday, the first two rows have been sold out for weeks. People WANT to go back to doing normal things.

Also. More people pack into Walmart every single day than you can fit in a movie theater. No outbreaks. But then we all know The Virus is magical and stops at the front door to Walmart, which is why nobody gets sick there even though they don't wipe down the carts or the keypads anymore.

We've done all we can do. Time to go back to normal-ish. Precautions can be taken but "full lockdown" isn't doing anything but costing people their livelihoods. If a couple hundred people can safely attend a wrestling show without incident, and a couple THOUSAND people a DAY can shop at Walmart without massive outbreaks... then it's time to say Enough Is Enough.

Here in Italy all the theatres around me are open. They have limited seats, you are not allowed to enter without a mask, you need to have your temperature checked, you need to show them your ID and give them your phone number. But they are OPEN.
I'm sure it will be the same there in the US soon.

One would hope.

Reasonable precautions? Sure. Then gradually scale back as necessary, if necessary.

Other countries, thankfully for them, aren't suffering from the "disease" of every single thing having to be a political football. Thus, things are going a lot more smoothly Over There than over here. Less finger pointing and "YOUR policies are killing people!" "No, YOURS!" means things can operate at a much saner level. The tribalism of the American political game is a "disease" all its own. There's absolutely no problem that can't be made worse just by asking some politician to talk about how he feels on it.

I do hope/expect that things will loosen up after November. Regardless of who wins, we'll be stuck with them for four years, so no more need to lay blame, point fingers, or waste time on anything else but Fixing The Problem. Hopefully.

If this hadn't happened in an election year, it wouldn't have gotten so ugly. I have to believe that's the truth no matter who anyone supports. I don't even vote; I just called this from a mile away. "This happens in an election year? Great. Nothing's gonna get done until it's over." Lo and behold.....

Anyways. Sure, I think all businesses should be able to operate as "normal-ish" as possible with REASONABLE precautions. Movie theaters included.

Will they be "allowed" to? We'll see. It definitely won't happen as long as people keep saying "You're gonna kill your grandma!" every time anyone expresses an interest in a return to normalcy. That sort of hyperbole isn't helping the situation. BUT... that's America, for you.

Hopefully you're right, though. We shall see.

Never officially IN the movie to begin with.

Fisher's involvement with The Flash was never officially confirmed, and now it seems like any potential talks have fallen through.
Which only means that RUMORS of his involvement are now officially False. There's absolutely no "proof" that he had a role written for him and is now being "written out".

The Internet sucks at both Journalism and Reading Comprehension.

I don't see "no official confirmation" and "rumors were false" as being the same. It could have been discussed or planned, but never agreed upon.

Also, remember -- there have been at least THREE different Flash ideas since WB/DC announced their original post-Man of Steel lineup years ago. I have a hard time believing Cyborg wasn't in one of those. Where there's smoke, there's fire, and so on.

It was probably discussed, yes.

But the fact remains that there was NEVER any announcement that "Oh, by the way, Cyborg's in the Flash movie." None. Zero. Rumors and speculation and nothing beyond that.

And also, the article Benz posted doesn't even make reference to the sensationalist headline in any way whatsoever, only pretty much echoing what the ScrenRant article says, which is "IF it was ever being talked about, it's not happening now." The article itself makes no reference to a "script" in which Cyborg was ever in, let alone "written out of". I'm willing to relent that the article's writer probably didn't choose the clickbait headline themselves, the website's owners/operators/whatever probably did. But still. it's yellow journalism and bad reporting. Clickbait.

Once again, I actually took Journalism, which teaches that rumors and speculation are not to be reported as "news". BUT. I admit that was 20 years ago, pre-Internet - point of fact, a Class Rule was "IF it's being reported on the internet, don't believe it, because it's probably Rumor and Speculation because they're not obligated by law to fact-check, cite sources, or print retractions the way REAL news sources have to do", and if you used anything on the internet as a "source" in that class then your article was dismissed until you had a "real" source of information to cite. So I admit, things have changed, but not for the better - the Internet is now the ONLY source of "news", but they STILL only deal in Rumors and Speculation and every single whisper gets a headline whether it's True or False, and they STILL aren't bound by law to actually tell the truth the way newspapers had to. And all of that is bad. And very, very annoying to someone like me who can tell the difference between "Actual News" and clickbait.

I mean they may as well print another headline to go with that one that says "Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Thomas Wayne Being Written Out Of The Flash Movie". Because HE was never IN the movie, either, it was again all rumors, speculation and Wishful Thinking. So it's equally as true. Neither guy was ever "officially" IN the movie, so they can't be "written out" of it.

Words Matter.
