Well, I'm happy to report my Revo Mikey (which just arrived today with Don) has no paint issues and I have tested each joint very carefully, including the moving eyes and everything is just as good as my other Revo turtles. Nothing broken or looks bad.
It is true that the eyes are difficult to move on my Mikey. What I did was remove the bandana from the Revojoint. Leave the joint inside the head. Then, firmly grab the "ball" of the joint and, while using your other hand to hold mikey's head securely, firmly yet GENTLY move the joint all along the rail both ways several times to get it loosened. do not apply torque to the revojoint. if you experiment you will see what i am talking about. you are trying to move the piece that is inside the head NOT the revojoint itself. I got mine from amiami. Not saying that makes the difference... but it's possible different retailers are screening for bad figures better than others. I don't have time to take Don out of the package and do an in-depth examination of him like I did Mikey but I did look him over in the package and I see no problems with the head "seam" I do not think people should avoid ordering these right now. You should order and if you get a bad figure you can arrange a replacement. I think the bad figures are probably in the very low numbers. It happens with most products, I seriously doubt there is a major flaw in the way most of these are being made. Revo is not new to this game. Last edited by Zulithe; 11-03-2014 at 02:15 PM. |

Yeah I agree. I wouldn't avoid ordering these. In my case I'm just hoping they can maybe send me a replacement head for Mike. If not, I'm still satisfied overall. I just won't be moving the eyes a whole lot.

I didn't have any problems with Mikey's eyes but it is a little stiff. A few weeks of use loosened it up a little bit. The only problem I had (and still have) was with his nunchucks and it makes it hard to get a proper pose with Mikey and the chucks.

Yeah, definitely don't wait if you're at all interested in getting them. Japanese figures don't usually get multiple print runs so if you miss out on them, they're gone forever. (or available for super expensive on Ebay)

Not sure how that could be, unless defects were blatantly obvious through the packaging.

HLJ ended up giving me 20% store credit for the issue with Mikeys eyes. They said these figures are discontinued, so they are unable to exchange or send spare parts. Nice of them to give me the credit. I really didn't expect it. I guess I will have to live with the near frozen eye articulation. I'm surprised these are discontinued. I feel like they will be reproduced at some point..they seem really popular.

That's unfortunately how Japanese figure runs work. They only make a certain amount, after that they're gone.

id say it has to do with woody's "creeper" face
he is in high demand because more than just toy story fans hunt for him may also have to do with the licence agreement for how long the have the rights to produce woody

Very VERY High demand, longer contract with Disney and that Woody have two separate releases with different accessories.

Yeah and notice Woody isn't always available. Reissues do happen occasionally, but they're not like US toy companies where you can get the toy for a year or so before it disappears. When GoodSmile reissues Figmas it's usually a long time since the original release like the Link and Samus Nintendo Figmas. I believe in the case of those Nintendo Figmas there's been around a year between each reissue.
So just because a few Japanese figures got reissues doesn't mean you should rely on TMNT to get another run. It could happen, it might not. It's still a very good idea to get them while you can unless you're a fan of paying twice or more what they're worth on ebay/amazon. |

Seems to me like Revoltech reissues are sporatic and unpredictable.

In a way. Have the joint pushed in sideways. Front of the hole is against the ball of the joint the back of the hole the shaft. Think with a paint match it would make for cool alt heads. Here's the raw pic.
