I think I've found a way around my fanfiction snafu for the moment.

Just present the parts I really, really know about in segments, in a Tales of the TMNT style, among other little short things that I have ideas for. Which will include actual stuff with the turtles .

My D&D game went really well today. Since it is the Halloween season, I had them encounter a "living" scarecrow, which is a sort of magical contruct, like a golem, with the sole purpose of killing. It has a fear gaze and can swivel its head around in any direction- making it impossible to sneak up behind it. They were suitibly freaked out. After defeating it- they grabbed it and shoved it into a bonfire in the village square- they were "rewarded" with ownership of an abandoned estate a bit outside the village. Seems the previous owner and his household had all disappeared...... (The adventure to follow is equal parts The Shining and Haunted Mansion or possibly House[the horror movie not the medical drama show]. Yes I am an evil DM....)

Already been 2 years at my current job... Manager who did the morning rally meeting pointed it out. Was wondering if they would, though didn't necessarily expect them to.

Congrats! In spite of all the rants you stuck it out. That is a rare ability these days.

Thanks! Despite complaints, most of the employees are pretty great (some annoyances but still nice people at least), including all the managers (for which I feel super lucky), and is primarily the reason I've stayed.

Found some cure TMNTbathroom stuff on clearance. Hand towels and bathroom mats and a little waste basket. Grabbed one of the towels and might go back for the basket. Would be great for my desk workspace.

I straightened my living space and made two pans of apple crisp.

The aroma of baked goods is pleasant. Better than any candle and the like, imo.

Two?? Plastroncafe's gone full autumn mode! Yum

Probably easier up in that region though. Much of October here has been warm enough that our trees are having a hard time understanding that yes, it's supposedly Fall here. lol Afraid Halloween is not going to look too much like Halloween. (But if the night isn't as cold as it often is that will be a plus.)

Happy maker... had the chance to give my nephew a little toy sword I'd grabbed at TRU. Light and sounds for $3, so why not. At almost 17 months, he's gotten into loving things with buttons that make noise, or make something else make noise (which this all started with the car keys... lol), and it has a button so it seems to be a hit.

I helped out with the front yard at my mom's house, getting some cleanup prep for the professional workers who will be taking down an old ash tree in our yard. At least that's what I think it is.

It's been at the house since it was built in the 70's, and is "finally" dying after all these years. It could hold six small children in the 90's. It's deeply bittersweet, but its bark is falling off and it has a bug infestation. Plus it needs to be gone for the work that's going to be put into the front yard, and replaced with a new oak tree further down the hill. One that my kids are going to grow up seeing.

And, with all the stuff that's been raked up, mowed, and pulled out, the thunderstorm we're having is probably going to be really good for the dirt too.

I just hope the backyard will be half decent when I have company in December. It's scary back there.

Also, my youngest brother and his girlfriend are suddenly getting married around Thanksgiving? Kyle's engagement may have broken up, but James has his sh#t better than me or Kyle does at 19, and seems to be the best candidate for that fast of a step.

I'm happy for that, but all of it was getting planned between them and my parents through the evening, and at first, I didn't realize they were serious.
