Yes. Takes like 20 years after the Godzilla bombing in 54. Skull island probably will be a site name for monster

Well I was growing to the idea of a bigger King Kong and a reboot even if I still felt the KK/G Universe is a dumb idea but after watching the trailer it just looks bad, I don't have much fate in it. What's worse is that if they hadn't gotten this "people want shared universes" idea from Marvel maybe we would've gotten a cool Kong movie about Skull Island and the things that live there. I'll wait to see more before I judge it but I'm not confident at all.

What are you talking about the last Kong movie was pretty good, maybe too long but it was good. Nothing will beat the original but I doubt this new version will be better than Jackson's.

I can't believe i missed this thread i am super existed for kong skull island and a 100ft kong looks awesome i hered some rumors that hes even bigger then that i kinda hope so because i was a huge fight when godzilla vs kong is finally out

Since Skull island takes place in the 70's, he will probably have more than enough time to grow for 2020 for the kong vs godzilla

You got a point I'm hoping they exsplain that in the movie hell even a throw away part with a bigger skeleton from his species seen in the backrond would work

You're assuming Kong vs. Godzilla takes place now. Maybe it takes place not long after Skull Island... when it is Godzilla who is a little smaller.

I'm am excited for this and the eventual Kong vs Godzilla but I just hope it does not all turn out like Godzilla 2014 with the humans being the heavy focus.

I know King Ghidorah is supposed to be in the next Godzilla movie so hopefully since the setup is done the monsters get the spotlight.

Posters look cool.

Kong is too big even if he isn't Godzilla size.

The original concept of the movie is gone where it would take place in Skull Island before any events and now even the King himself is in the title. Kong Skull Island is nothing at all like the movie it was originally going to be and would've been an amazing take.

I'm still excited over a Kong V Godzilla movie that is a bit more serious but come on this kills any "serious" take the 2014 movie was going for and ruined Kong in the process. I guess it's ok since the 2014 take wasn't that great anyway but I had high hopes for the Kong prequel since Skull Island coudl've been an amazing movie with people just exploring that crazy island.

yeah...5 bucks says that ain't happening, especially considering Godzilla hadn't been seen since between the 50's and 2014

They still plan on doing Godzilla 2 after this one, and then King Kong vs Godzilla.
