What's your favourite Mario Kart game?

So what's everyone's favourite Mario kart game here?

Mine is arguably Double Dash or one of the DS/3DS ones. 64 was awesome back in the day but wouldn't want to play it nowadays. The original MK game and Super Circuit are also pretty solid, but not my first choices.

Haven't played Wii or 8.

I am not huge into the Mario Kart series and haven't played the majority of the games on the list, but if I had to pick a game, it would be Mario Kart Wii because I have alot of nostalgic memories of playing that game with friends and family.

I remember back then when the Wheel extension for the wiimote and the game's graphics were pretty good for the time but I haven't played the game in years so I can't comment on how I find it now. I played Mario Kart SNES on emulator pretty recently as well, it was pretty cool.

64, of course it was the Mario Kart I had when I was an "older" kid as in I didn't suck at video games anymore. SMK was my first Mario Kart but I wasn't that good back then. Every Mario Kart after has never hit the highs. Then again I never did get to play with friends like with 64 with other versions all the time.

I grew up with Double Dash and I spent countless nights before bed playing DS with my siblings, but ultimately, I gotta say 8. The game looks beautiful, controls very smoothly, and has the most tracks and characters. Between the Wii U and Switch, I've played it far more than any other game in the series.

8 is the correct answer. Mario Kart is an iterative series, and 8 is the sum of those iterations.

Agreed. Don't own a Wii U, but 8 on the Switch is so much fun with friends and alone.

It used to be 64 but now it's 8. Whether it's the Wii U or Switch version, it offers a lot more than the others and I never get tired of playing it.

64 was so much fun as a kid and still is. Due to thevyears passing by and improvements ir might seem basic now, but is able to stand out as one of the big three 64 games along with Mario 64, and Super Smash Bros. Mario Kart 8 is second best overall because of the various features.

I was unaware that Super Nintendo debuted the title. I always thought M64 did. Thought of the day.

The SNES one.
I prefer the graphics that one had over any that followed.

The SNES one, because it's the only one I've played.

By the same token, It's also the worst one I've played

You really never knew there was a SNES Mario kart when you were a kid in the 90's?

No. I did not have a SNES system and no one talked about that particular game. It was Turtles In Time, Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, and Mario Is Missing. When it came out with the N64 it was the favorite of the people I knew until Super Smash Bros. came along.

I'm another who thought it debuted on N64 until years later.
