I would like that. Breath life into a very underdeveloped and underused character, however I have a feeling that this will be an original character.

A little irked that they're releasing a more deluxe deluxe edition of the usagi crossover so soon after the first one that I bought.
The color classics TPB is interesting, I guess it's a paperback "The Works" v1 with a less confusing name and one extra issue (Michelangelo 1-shot)? While I think B/W is the best way to read Mirage, maybe having these issues collected in color at a super affordable price will be a great gateway for new readers to experience these hallmark issues. It's pretty confusing what happened with Stan's HC variant. There was originally supposed to be a "Sakai Signature Variant" of the TMNT/Usagi One-Shot HC. But, it never saw light of day for some reason and was canceled and then there was supposed to be a "2nd printing" of it with Stan's artwork. But, with today's announcement of this containing additional content (and having a different title) than the regular HC, it isn't a 2nd printing and is a new edition altogether. Weird. I'm thinking either Stan or someone at IDW screwed up with the originally planned "Sakai Signature Variant HC" and this is the way it's being made right...or, I don't really know what else. Kind of soon to get another HC version of this IMO but...not my call.

I'm currently trying to find out whether the Diamond solicit new version will be the only one, or whether Stan will actually have his own version too (sold through his website), and thus there will be TWO new covers for the hardcover, both with the expanded content.

Stan has posted his own cover for the "second" printing, so yes, there will be two different (and both new) covers for the release of the expanded book early next year.
