I believe pages 2 and 3 have been swapped, as well as 5 and 6 -_- I'll update with a better preview soon, but this is "facebook exclusive" right now. Last edited by ToTheNines; 02-22-2013 at 08:42 PM. |

I seriously could not find one thing to complain about in this issue.
The art is stunning, The story is solid, The book also has the best action scene we have seen in the TMNT books. Santalouco is the MAN!

Like clock work....a new issue, and the 1 or 2 new posts from Strugler.
See you again when issue #20 is about to hit....

With more terrible grammar to follow. Misspelling artist's names, leaving letters out of titles, not spacing correctly..sheesh.

There is a great interview here with Messrs Santolouco and Burnham from Newsarama about the mini as a whole.
Not a whole lot of new details about the mini-series, but some cool general information about the process of creating the story. |

Great read, as expected.
I really can't say enough about the art. Every single panel was masterful, and the action is so badass. Vieira owned again, and I kinda hope he joins Mateus in the ongoing (nothing against Ronda). My favorite takedowns were Don whacking that ninja so hard his eye-lense popped off, and then Raph smacking Alopex off the van. DOT approved bike helmets are heavy lol. I love Raph and Alopex's ongoing rivalry, as well as the way Karai kept belittling her future boss Leonardo. Speaking of them two, I was really pleased to see there's some tension between Karai and Alopex. It's an interesting dynamic that Karai appears to be in charge of her, yet Shredder treats her better than Karai. Anyone else a little suspicious of Dr. Miller? I'm not saying I think he's evil, but he's so obsessed that I can see him doing something really stupid next issue. The Feudal Japan era stuff didn't reveal quite as much as I had hoped this issue, but I'm sure it's all coming in #4. They've really crafted an excellent story here though. I feel terrible for Maji, since he did all he could for his son, and I even feel bad for Saki in a way, despite the fact that he's the reincarnation of Tatsuo. This is shaping up to be one of my top 5 favorite TMNT comic book stories. I'm sooo psyched for March. Gonna be an epic month. |

Ahhhh! This issue was so good! The spread of Kitsune revealing Saki's past life to him was ridiculously cool.

My review of Secret of the Foot Clan #3 at TMNT Entity.
Man, I've loving this. With a few tweaks it would make a badass TMNT movie. Shredder's origin has always been rife with untapped potential and seeing it decompressed here in all its tragic glory is amazing. What I really find remarkable is that, in regards to Shredder's two competing essences, Oroku Saki is actually the "good" one (the one raised by a loving father and having spent his life trying to control his baser urges and do the right thing) while the "evil" half has always been the spirit of Tatsuo Takeshi lurking below. Even though he retains the name, I wonder how "dead" the Oroku Saki personality truly is and just how much Tatsuo Takeshi has dominated the equation. It sort of leaves a back door for the possibility of Oroku Saki being redeemable if the Tatsuo influence is eradicated. It's great having a complex Shredder for a change. And yeah, my review reveals how little I understand laws of momentum (I took geology in college to fulfill my science credit requirements!). Would Raph's helmet-throwing move have actually worked?
