In case you don't know, when Nickelodeon moves a show to Nicktoons they're basically saying "This show isn't profitable enough for our dying network, let's dump the rest of the episodes on our even faster sinking sub-network". Essentially, it's a quiet cancellation.

NickToons is very definitely a lower-rated sister network to Nickelodeon. Or it could be what happened to The Legend of Korra, which was yanked from TV airings altogether and streamed only from Nickelodeon's online service.

HA Legend of Korra days, the schedule that show had was a mess, Rise looks to be going that way. How long did it take for season three episodes to get released? I remember being super excited for book three as that was in my opinion the best season. I wouldn't mind it just releasing all the Rise episodes online if it gets canceled at season two why the heck not?

All of the cartoons are for kids. But just looking around these boards it's clear to see that both 2003 and 2012 offered something that interested a wider age range and appealed more to older fans than Rise has.

Not necessarily anything to do with being darker, but they both offered more in the way of character and story.

None of this is conclusive proof that Rise is facing cancellation, and it could very well keep on going for more seasons. There could be a variety of reasons why it's being treated this way, including Nickelodeon simply being operated crappily.

I am in no way being a dick to you, sir. Aside from one unwarranted cheap shot at me, you haven't given me any reason to be that way. I can see it going that way in the future, unfortunately, but that was entirely not my decision.

When I'm being a dick to people, I tell them I hope they get AIDS, and things of that nature. Everybody knows that, it's Day One stuff. And it's not just something I do, it's something they earn. We're not at that point, and hopefully we won't be.

How do you know? Do you work at Nickelodeon? Or you know someone that does?

I'm not into Rise that much because I prefer TMNT to be more serious. I still watch Rise because I like some things about it, but it's too kiddish for me, so i'm not bothered it's been cancelled and if Nick is working on something new then I'm excited.

When the 2012 show was on, Nick did say the show was over just before season 5 aired, so they should say that Rise is over.

On one hand, they haven't publicly said any such thing at this point in time. On the other, they so far haven't proudly announced any green lit 3rd season yet either while we're already about to go into the 2nd.

And since a series takes time to create, you'd think they'd need to seriously be considering yay or nay very soon because if a 3rd was a thing then they'd need to get working on it soon? Unless season 2 does take a turn in tone and direction to some extent and they're waiting to get a feel for how that goes before deciding and just delay any decisions, etc.?

All they need to do is make season 2 like the 2003 or 2012 or IDW . That what it needs to become a success and make me again the main villian instead of those silly mutants and magical creatures. In season 2 i will return and also Krang and tricertons will come to conquer the world. Season 7 of 2003 series wasnt as serious as the 6 season. And in 1987 series the last season was much more serious than the other 9 seasons. Which means a chance in tone can happen at any time.

If I was a superfan, NOW would be the time to start campaigning hard for the show I want to see, and not bother patting the head of the deformed failure out of guilt or pity.
