I think that the fact that this season first aired in October 2015 and is not even going to finish this year (Mutation Madness is in fact going to be the last three episodes aired back to back it seems) shows just how much Nickelodeon really cares about this franchise. I mean this is a disaster!
They couldn't make good live action movies--and the box office scores actually reflected that for once thanks to OOTS (yippee!) and now this? Ciro got the number of seasons he wanted but Nickelodeon is clearly looking forward to moving on. And if they don't care about this series, why should we? I'm all for Season 5 being the last now. |

Actually Cyber that's where you're wrong. Again.
Nickelodeon owns the franchise just as they own Paramount who made the movie. They also have their own movie studio simply called Nickelodeon Movies--who also made the movie. So yeah, in more ways than one, Nickelodeon did in fact make the movie...and it flopped (thankfully)! |

Nick didn't even care to develop a kick ass live action movie. they just handed it off to michael bay and said, 'here, you handle this.'. imagine what we WOULD have gotten if that script didn't leak and fans didn't go in an uproar? sigh... |

Nines you idiot! Nickelodeon IS the owner! They brought it from Peter Laird for $60 million! Do your homework next time before you decide to start spouting nonsense like the nuisance you are!

You're right. Nickelodeon and NM are a division of Paramount. My point still stands though that both Ninja Turtles movies made this decade were made in association with Paramount and NM since they (and Nickelodeon) are of the same group. Nickelodeon however is the owner of the TMNT and are hugely responsible for the quality and airing of the series (despite what that abomination Nines would tell you) and had a smaller but ever present responsibility in how the live action movies came out.

Viacom owns the TMNT property along with Paramount and Nickelodeon, so they just gave the property to Nickelodeon and Paramount to do whatever they want with it.
