While I seem to have missed out on getting a second copy of a book I'd wanted to grab for my mom, Barns and Noble has some awesome "bargain priced" graphic novel versions of Poe, Frankenstein, Dracula, and Jekyll and Hyde. Grabbed two of Poe for mom and sister, and Frankenstein for my brother-in-law for cool gifts.

Cool! I think I've seen some of those. My weekend was spent writing and puuting up Halloween decorations. Still have more to put up but its already looking goid! Even had a neighbor come to the door today and tell me she liked it!

The particularly religious or superstitious might not care for it, but we laughed. That took timing. Slightly eagerly waited to see how they would call it out... "Six sixty-six."
That was lunch (very good evil lunch) on the way back from my mom's appointment to get her broken arm checked. Happy that so far so good they still don't think surgery may be necessary, but will continue to look at it weekly. Much of it looks like it is doing okay, though there is a kind of bad splinted-looking break still on the inner side which is questionable. They think if kept still though that may fill in on it's own. Last edited by IndigoErth; 10-25-2016 at 01:49 PM. |

That receipt made me laugh, Indigo. Glad to hear that she may not need surgery.
Posting another chapter of a fan fic made me pretty happy today.

Happy maker... Seeing something on a Halloween Store's website two days ago and intending on running over there today after work, not knowing if they'd even have it in-store, still in stock, or if it was only online... and finding they still had ONE.
Didn't intend on browsing terribly long, assuming it's probably one of those little 'hole in the wall' stores... then I walked in there and found that it was way bigger than expected. *sigh* I miss the days I used to do a lot of decorating for the holiday. Another happy... while I do have to work on Halloween, it's a short early shift and thanks to my mom's next Dr. appointment for the next x-rays I was able to get my manager to give me off the next day. (Not that I really need the whole day off, I offered I could do a late shift maybe, but she gave me the full day - no complaints here.) |

Passed my stats mid-term with flying colors!
Considering the week I was having, I'm more than a little chuffed.

So glad I had a short work shift and don't go tomorrow so I can just enjoy Halloween. Not that I have much in the way of plans at all, but hey... I have a freshly carved pumpkin at least. And a TMNT costume shirt I got at the Halloween store. |

Finally didn't overcook the pumpkin seeds this year. For the last few years they'd ended up overdone, but they came out good this time.

Had some fun streaming with Ceres and UtromPrincess tonight . Even though Ceres went to sleep during the later part of it, because it was early in the morning for her.
Took a while to figure out making it work, but it did excellently in the end.

We watched a few TMNT episodes to test how it would work, and then Over the Garden Wall

It’s pretty neat that you can do that nowadays. Ten or more years ago I remember doing the same thing over IRC or MSN messenger. A couple of friends and I would stay up late watching the same movie on TV and text chat back and forth. It was kind of a pain in the ass.

Yeah, it took a while to figure it out. We could do Youtube Live streaming with TMNT, but it ended up being a Skype desktop display, while we played our own sound and we had to do countdowns at the start of each episode to make sure it was synched. But it worked pretty well .

My team took first place at Pub Trivia tonight, and I managed to snag a free beer by guessing the bonus question right.

Happy maker: Everyone decided to go get some fast food, so I had some too. It was good. Probably not good for me.

Got to leave work early for the second day in a row. Missed getting home before Mr Duckie left for dialysis trratment but at least I can take a nap and do the laundry that I didn't get to do over the weekend. Angel was happy to see me early too lol. She has been winding around my feet and being really lovey.
