Oh, joy...

The quality of this is all over the place. The new footage seems like it was made in like 2005 for the Xbox 360. The character models have a very plastic quality to them. The quality of the actual animation varies from acceptable to complete garbage, how hard can it be to animate two characters talking?

The footage lifted from the (half a decade old) game has way better models, lighting, lip sync and movement. That is actually pretty sad to think about. That said however the frame rate is actually slower, making it a complete mishmash on an extra level.

This is just embarrassing to watch. If they really wanted to do this, then they should have redone the animation entirely from scratch and used stylised models to mask the clearly low budget. I realise some people might not want Alien done in a more "cartoony" or surreal style but there is a reason CGI hardly ever goes for realism outside of Video Games and effects for Live-Action movies.
