Thanks dude!
I've been trying to get an '88 Leonardo MOC for years now. This seller gave me a good deal and is even including the display case he keeps it in. Luckily the figure is in good shape, too. No discoloration or deterioration of the plastic on the limbs.

there is a funny little irony the typo of super and supper, when talking about the chef Boyardee shredder made me chuckle

You're bumping a 3 year old thread & talking about an item I was only able to get with ease at a fair price the year prior. It used to be tough to get a hold of, not so much anymore.
& yeah, it might go for under 2000 yen in Japanese collectible shops, but not in the states.

It's not like it's worth a lot of money, I personally just think it's really really cool. The Turtle Saint design hits all the right notes for me, aesthetically. + it's got bad-ass packaging art, cool accessories, a mini-comic, & all that Japanese flair. Its very lacking articulation wise, but for anyone intrigued by the TMNT or international merch, it's an awesome display piece.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned the undercover turtles with cloth coats. I'm always so sad when I see how much those go for now. I always wanted just the four loose with the coats. Oh well. So much great stuff has come out in the last five years, even if I had them I'm not sure they would make my display any more.

Two pieces of original art come to mind that I'm skeptical I'll ever own, but if they become available, I'll be going HARD for them.
1) TMNT #4 2nd print by Michael Dooney 2) TMNT movie adaptation with the Turtles on the roof surrounded on all sides by Foot Soldiers There are quite a few others I'd pursue strongly, but these two are some of the most enduring pieces of TMNT art in my mind. |

I guess I never really posted my response to this thread. I've actually eliminated several white whales for my collection in the last two years. (Turtles in Time arcade cab, completing my Mini-Mutants Turtle Transports collection other than open sets for two, and recently the japanese Mini-Mutants semi playset)
At this point I can think of essentially three white whales for my collection: ARCADE Data East TMNT pinball machine. I have a 2 player arcade and now a 4 player Turtles in Time. So until the RawThrills game is released, I just need the pinball machine to complete the set. Unfortunately they rarely seem to show up anywhere near my area. TOYS -I'm still hoping to eventually track down a 2003 Toy Fair Keychain Raphael Mini. -I'd also like to track down the last few items I missed out on from the end of the 2003 and going through the 2007 line. That would include the Paleo Patrol Sabre Cycle, a complete Raphael Sludge Runner, Mini Code-Runner Leo and Mike and the Mini Mutant Cowabunga Bikes. That would essentially fill the last of the major holes in my collection. |

not sure if i've shared this before or not?
this was many years ago but i guess it still counts as a white whale, and you all might get a chuckle out of this? back when Ninja Turtle merchandizing was at it's highest, i had taken a fancy to those nasty (vanilla pudding filled) Ninja Turtle pies. anyone remember those things? Spoiler:
each pie would include a free sticker Spoiler:
after a while i pretty much had the entire set, except for Leonardo. figures right? the one i had wanted most. sure it was a doofy looking version of Leo, but still... anyway, week after week i'd go to the local convenience store and pick up a pie hoping i'd get a Leo. eventually i started buying TWO pies at a time hoping i'd get it. at last i couldn't take it anymore!!! when the store got their new shipment of Turtle Pies i went in and bought the WHOLE batch. (maybe about a dozen pies) on the walk home i started eating one of the pies, but of course it was yet ANOTHER Raph!! i had had enough!!! i started opening each one of them right there hoping i'd FINALLY get the damn Leo sticker! as fate would have it i got multiples of EVERY Turtle EXCEPT LEO!!!! in a fit of disgust i threw out ALL those damn pies!!! looking back on it now it really is pretty silly seeing how bad the art on those stickers are. i mean it's not like they used the same Tmnt art as the Mirage iron-on patches. ......anyway!
